Thanks for giving me some insight. I would've felt better about this story if you had allowed the h to also try to move on (not wait 5 yrs & just the once). I get annoyed when the H gets to screw around all over the place but the h remains pristine pure because she loved the H so much? Well that just goes to show he didn't love her in my opinion, just a shallow jerk who didn't try hard enough to find her.

Micah says he was developing deeper feelings for Liz I& also spent 5 yrs sleeping around with so many women. Why write him like that and then expect the reader to believe him when he says he's only ever seen Elisa & only ever wanted her alone. Clearly he's lying, because he also wanted all those other women that he slept with, especially Liza who he was with for so long & admitted his feelings for her were growing?
Heidi Lis That's a great question and to answer it I would say he continued to live his life like any other guy his age. He never knew if he'd ever see Elsa again and after he returned from serving in the Air Force, he tried to move on the best he could. That being said, he never fully resolved the feelings he had for her. When they reconnected, he didn't want to deny what he felt. His feelings he still held for her. I hope that helps.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
Heidi Lis I put down my work and get away for a day or so. Let it go and come back after you've given yourself a break. For me, it works. I listen to music when I write so that helps a lot as well.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Heidi Lis Having readers like what you've put your heart into. It's not easy to open yourself up to the world to criticize your hard work, but hearing from fans that do enjoy your work, is the best feeling ever. It's an achievement no one can take away from you.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Heidi Lis To never give up! Refuse to quit. If one door closes, another one will always open. Write everyday that you can and work toward whatever goal you make for yourself. Good Luck!

What are you currently working on?
Heidi Lis I'm doing revisions to my first book while working on my third book. I'm enjoying every minute of it, too.

How do you get inspired to write?
Heidi Lis I love to sit and let stories develop in my mind. Writing is very relaxing for me, so I write as often as I can. My only complaint is not having enough hours in the day to get to it.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Heidi Lis This is a story that has developed over time. That being said, a part of this story is based on actual events in my life. Thank you for the question.
