Don't buy anyone else's writing routine. You have your own life, experiences and voice. Start with stuff others use that feel right and build your own. There is no right or wrong way to create.

I am working to the sequel to How To Survive A Minor Alien Invasion. It is going well. I also have other ideas that I'm slowly picking at to see if I can make something of them.

You get to do what you really love. I don't believe anyone who becomes a writer does so as a secondary choice. It can be a hard life and anyone who pursues it really wants to do it. It was not an easy choice to give up being a librarian. I loved that title and still respect and miss that world, but I'm a writer. It's the best thing ever.

I don't. I write everyday, inspired or not. I write at the say time. I have this ritual because I don't get inspired on my own without it. They say that the muse is more generous when she knows your writing schedule. I keep that in mind on the days when everything I write feels like the worst thing ever written by anyone ever.

I have multi pal projects going so if I get stuck on one, and I do, I work on something else for a few days. I make the weirdest connections on the initial project that way.
