C. Litka Halfway through writing "The Bright Black Sea" I thought it would be cool to write the story that turned into "Castaways of the Lost Star", so steered the end of The Bright Black Sea for this story. The rest of "The Lost Star's Sea" is me trying to figure out what I wanted to do after getting Litang castaway.
C. Litka I daydream up and then write the stories I can't find to read.
C. Litka The concluding volume of my Lost Star stories, titled "The Lost Star's Sea." This chronicles Captain Wil Litang's adventures, and misadventures amongst the floating islands of the Archipelago of the Tenth Star. Hopefully it will be released in the summer or early fall of 2017.
C. Litka Don't believe the hype. Relatively few writers make real money writing. Even traditionally published authors rarely make more than a part time wage. And as more and more people self-publish their work, the money readers spend is going to be spread thinner and thinner. Write for fun, not money.
C. Litka The best thing is that today you can take an idea, a story, and run with it all the way to completion. You can reach an audience all on your own.
C. Litka I spend 1 1/2 to 2 hours each morning writing, whether I feel like it or not, but with no word count goal. Once I start, the hours fly by. I've not experienced true writer's block, but since writing is something I do for fun rather than as a job, I guess if I find I've nothing to say, I'll just say nothing.
