Getting to put my ideas into something that helps others understand more about me. Sometimes it just gives me a release, and now that I'm writing publicly it is helping me to be more transparent about myself.

Initially it wasn't a book, it was my personal journal. But in going through infertility and pregnancy loss, it was a lonely place, and it was deemed an uncomfortable topic of conversation with so many I met. I asked myself why this was the case when 1 in 4 women experience miscarriage. So that was what prompted me to make my journal into something others could read and hopefully connect with.

I have always loved writing, creating and building stories.
However this book is my story which made me even more passionate about putting it down on paper, as it was something I personally experienced and it impacted my life in so many different and challenging ways. I'm glad to be able to share it.

Actually this is the hardest part for me, as I have a full time professional career, and when I have my best ideas, I'm often walking from a meeting, or in the midst of something I need to work on and I don't have the time to write them down.
Then when I finally sit down to write, its gone!
Often when the ideas fail to show when you want them to, you can't force it. I need to then go away, find something else to do and wait for the inspiration to hit me.
