Rennie St. James I would have to visit Hogwarts - just strolling through the school, chatting with ghosts, walking up the moving staircases, and possibly sitting in a class would be enough for me! ;)
Rennie St. James Desperate, she reached into the cabinet with a shaky hand. The bag of leftover Halloween candy was empty; there was no chocolate in the house.
Rennie St. James There are a lot of things that I enjoy but one of my favorites is reading comments from readers! Bad reviews used to upset (and sometimes still do) but I've discovered that what readers find in my stories often says more about them than me.

Much like a conversation or getting to know a new friend, a story is my opening comment and then its the reader's turn to share about themselves. I've made some wonderful online friends through fanfic and I hope to make more with my original stories.
Rennie St. James I think there's inspiration everywhere...my current stories contain a strong connection to the natural world so warming temperatures, rain storms and spring flowers are all inspiring me currently.

Friends and family also provide great inspiration to write about building and maintaining strong relationships!
Rennie St. James I'm currently working on a sequel to Azimuth which should be published June/ July 2015. I also still write some fanfic and have even started toying with some political satire short stories. I simply enjoy writing and I try to stay open to new opportunities as there is always something fun to write about on any given day!
Rennie St. James Write! Research, planning, dreaming are all wonderful things but if you want to finish your book you have to write! This means you write when the inspiration isn't there, when time is short, when you might prefer to do something else. Write!! Just like exercising daily, learning musical scales to play the piano and even rehearsing something important that you want to say to someone else - not everything you write will be used in your books but you still learn from trying! Write!!!
