I would go to Middle Earth and spend most of my time in the Shire before it was ruined by Saruman. I would visit every other place in the world too, but I would always return to the Shire.

Stop writing and don't try to force it. I usually take a long break, sometimes up to a week, and do something else that interests me.

Write something that is interesting to you. If you really enjoy detective stories, but decide to write science fiction because it sells better, then you will most likely be left feeling unfulfilled by your work. If money is the main reason you are doing something you will not be producing your best work. All types of writing can sell well if they are written well. You just need time to build an audience and become known.

I had been writing short stories for myself for many years. A few years ago I was reading through them and realized that many of them could be scenes from a much larger story. After mapping out how these scenes fit into a larger story, I began writing the first book of the Infinite Divergence series.
