I just walk away from writing for a day or two. Go for a long peaceful walk in nature. Things always come to me during these times of self reflection.

For me is just letting all my feelings pour out and seeing people become inspired by your work. My hope is my work will continue to mentor kids long after I am gone.

My advice if you have a message just go out and get your first book released. So many people our held back by their fears. We all have a limited amount of the time on earth. Why follow the majority of the population and live a mediocre life. Stand out, spread your message and leave a legacy behind.

I'm currently working on book 4 in the series. At the moment we have 8 books in the Little Sammy Samurai character life lessons series.

I felt growing up I was lacking great mentors who could have guide me to become a successful confident adult. School's do not teach kids personal development. The martial arts especially Brazilian jiu-jitsu was the biggest game changer for me. I've witnessed so many kids who are unable to get past the fear of failure. This changes when they enroll in my martial arts classes. However, I can only reach a small number of kids in my community. By writing books I hope I can inspire more kids around the world to become action takers instead of standing on the sidelines waiting for something special to happen in their life.

The idea for my Little Sammy Samurai series is loosely based on my 40 years of martial arts experience. Every decade whether I was a student or teacher always taught me life lessons that I used to better myself in life and business.
When it came time to write the book I thought why not tell the story through my dog's eyes and bring out the inner child in me at the same time.
