L.N. Denison Hi Shelby, you need to post your links to the round thread. You should have an Amazon and Goodreads link to the review that you can share to the round thread. Here is the link in which to do that: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
L.N. Denison I'm proud to say, i'm a pantser. I tend to write my stories off the cuff, and worry about the finer points when it's done.
L.N. Denison Mostly from dreams....I hope that doesn't sound too freaky?
L.N. Denison Anything on my TBR list..that's the best answer I can offer.
L.N. Denison Apologies for taking so long to answer your question. I think the only answer that doesn't involve some kind of asteroid or the death star, would probably be the most natural of endings....maybe a disaster caused by the greenhouse effect that people have been theorizing about for the past God know how many years. That was a really hard one to answer.
L.N. Denison Its versatility, you can do with it as you please. I know it's not much of an answer, but tell me I'm wrong, then I will answer the question again =)
L.N. Denison I think all in all, Phillip K. Dick and George Orwell are my favourite authors, both have a darkness about them. But I think I draw more from George Orwell.
L.N. Denison It was something that I'd been toying with for a while. I just wanted to branch out from my usual Dystopia sub-genre. I have to say though, it is Post-apocalyptia in its loosest form.
L.N. Denison I think I would have to say, Catherine from my latest WIP. She is always putting others before herself, which I have a tendency to do....a bit too much sometimes =).
L.N. Denison There are several other genre's that I wouldn't mind exploring....I'm all about testing my range. I wouldn't mind trying my hand at something a little risky, something that will really test my capabilities.... Romance! And trust me when I say that I would be completely out of comfort zone.
L.N. Denison Kami will differ from my other work, as it is going to be toned down for younger readers. I wanted to venture into YA/sci-fi for this one, turning away from Dark Dystopia and Post-Apocalyptic themes. It'll be a challenge, but I am looking forward to doing it.
L.N. Denison I never have to think about writing my next piece. The ideas are queuing in this brain of mine, just waiting to be shared, so there's no need for quiet words.
L.N. Denison I should say Going Underground, as it is my baby...but I am going to say that my favourite story to write so far is Only the Few. Only because, a lot more effort went into this book than the others. I have adopted a new writing style, which seems to be working out well. I will be adopting that style with past and future works.
L.N. Denison We have a joker in the pack hahaha! No, but he is very well protected, trust me ;-).
L.N. Denison I have a little cubby in the dining room that I have set up in. It's the place where the magic happens.
L.N. Denison I wouldn't say my stories were short. I do like to write the odd bit of flash fiction, but most of my work is between 20'000 and 80'000 words long. But to answer your question, one of my favourite shorts stories was a story I titled 'The hysteria was real'. It was based around what might've happened if the 1939 radio broadcast of 'The war of the worlds' had actually been a real broadcast, having a nice little twist at the end. As for short story writers...I love Edgar Allen Poe =)
L.N. Denison I have to say, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, because from the very beginning you never know how the will end up, until you actually reach the end of Mockingjay.
