B.L. Dayhoff I'd want to go to the world of Pern, although the highly sexist, problematic beliefs might cause me some issues - DRAGONS. I would, of course, want to ride/play with dragons.
B.L. Dayhoff Oh, this is tough. Probably Levi and Jaime from "Between Sinners and Saints" by Marie Sexton. I love the amount of giving in the relationship and the amount of growth the men cause in each other. They are each other's strength and also help each other find their inner strengths.
B.L. Dayhoff Normally one little idea sparks a the story and everything else blossoms out from there. Sometimes it's hard because a scene may be sparked, or an idea or concept, but that doesn't always mean a story follows. It's hard to let those go, especially when they feel especially creative.

For "Sometimes the Cowboy Falls," it all started with wondering about a rodeo rider who could no longer bull ride...and it just spun out of control.
B.L. Dayhoff I have a YA Old West shifter story sitting around waiting for revisions.
B.L. Dayhoff Practice. Listen to what people say about your writing, but always take it with a grain of salt and listen to YOURSELF. Practice some more. Read. Practice. Find a group of people who give you good feedback (meaning positive and negative). Strive to improve your writing, but always remembering why you write in the first place.
B.L. Dayhoff Being creative! It's really a work of love to mold the characters in my head into a story that other people will (hopefully) enjoy!
B.L. Dayhoff Cry. No! Kidding. Usually I try to step away, whether that means going for a run or giving it a day or two. Sometimes I try free writing (just writing something related to the characters but not in the story, necessarily).

Sometimes you just write a really bad paragraph and hope that gets you through...
