One of the best things about being a writer is the freedom to experience the world in a way that you know you will later try to describe. It sharpens perception. Otherwise, working in one's jammies and eating cereal for dinner are also advantages.

I am currently working on a follow up to my memoir "The Mighty Queens of Freeville," which was published by Hyperion in 2009. This book will be published by Hachette. I tried to find other ways to tell my story, but this seems most comfortable for me.
