Prepare yourself for battle! You're going to be battling yourself as you pound out your ideas onto paper or onto your computer. Then, you're going to struggle with the grammar and having others understand what you have written or the message you're conveying. And that's only the beginning... Unless you are looking to self-publish you have an uphill battle to fight as you not only search for a literary agent but, you will have to wade through an abundance of rejection letters too. Those rejection letters won't just come from the agents though. They will come from numerous publishers as well as most of them are not willing to take a chance on new aspiring authors! So, prepare your heart and mind! It is not an easy journey and it is not for everyone.
