I don't remember which author said it, but it's advice I've tried to live by. Have multiple projects going at the same time. When you get stuck on one switch to another, that way you're still being productive, and with any luck you may get inspiration from your own work.

Living inside your own world....ironically that's also the worst part about being a writer.

The world is full of critics, not all of them will like your work, some will even hate it. That is okay. Keep submitting your work until you find someone who loves it, because you eventually will. Think of it this way, if just 1/2 of 1% of the population falls in love with your work then you will be set for life.
