Craig Froman My inspiration seems to come in waves. Sometimes I will wake from a dream and write down what I found there. Other times I will simply be doing research for a story and run across a line or glimpse of something that will awaken my curiosity. Most often I will find inspiration from my own life that can be painted a slightly different hue for my poetry or story.
Craig Froman I would have to say Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy. The misunderstandings between them and the class struggles of the time create a beautiful tension that only gives the story and these characters of vivid depth a lasting place in classic literature!
Craig Froman I am actually writing a children's novel, an adult novel, and two screenplays. The creative process gives me so much joy!
Craig Froman Be determined. There are so many obstacles to overcome as a writer, from the internal frustrations, second guessing each word or line, as well as the external voices that can discourage, and those who reject or belittle your writing. You need to be able to keep yourself motivated to move on, no matter how dark it seems.
Craig Froman For me, being a writer releases such a creative flow of thoughts. It is painting with words, and can inspire and lift those who read your pages. This creative connection is so beautiful.
Craig Froman I try and find inspirations to unleash the flow, which can be simply walking to the river, gardening, reading, looking up words in a thesaurus, writing out thoughts on a page to look for patterns, anything that awakens the sleeping words.
