Dai V. Ross For T.o.t.U. - I had this scene of a father terrified of being a father. So I wondered: what would happen if he were a king? Would he ever accept his child? Well... read the book to find out the answer XD
Dai V. Ross For me, it's getting lost in my own head and seeing how the story unfolds. I'm very much a Pantser (writing by the seat of my pants), so not a lot of planning involved.

Or, as the late Terry Pratchett always said: 'writing is the most fun you could have by yourself'
Dai V. Ross I've had writer's block for a year now. It's best to put the story in a cupboard, and don't stress about it. Oneday your fingers will automatically reach for it, and there's the block gone.
Dai V. Ross Read. Read read read. And write. Write a lot. Writing is a craft that you need to hone.
Dai V. Ross Currently two projects - the first is a book started four years ago, but it needs a lot more words before I can even begin calling it Draft 2, hah. It's part of a trilogy for adult readers.

The other is a 'prequel' to Tears of the Unicorn. Two characters in that book made it known that they want me to tell their lifestory, and tell more about the world they live in and perhaps even reveal the origins of the Dark Ones.
