Jeff Hillary Sit down and actually write something. That's always the hardest part. Don't worry about making it perfect, just write it. Start at the beginning, and go all the way to the end. After you've got a completely finished product in your hand, then you can go back and start rewriting and tweaking and fixing. Even if the start is rough, you'll find your flow by the end and you can fix it in the rewrite.

The most important thing is to get the entire idea out of your head and onto paper. Until you've done that, you can't do anything.
Jeff Hillary I was at a bit of a low point in my life, and my parents were trying to encourage me to do something creative to get out of my funk. They suggested writing down some of the stories I always tell at parties....and well....it worked.
Jeff Hillary Inspiration isn't that difficult for me. Finding time to actually sit down and write has always been the hardest part. A lot of my inspiration for story ideas starts with "What if..." questions. As for my first book. It was inspired by the encouragement of my parents and by readings books by Chelsea Handler and Sloane Crosley.
Jeff Hillary I'm currently in the very early stages of writing a feature film under contract. I've also been outlining my next book, but it'll probably be a little while before I've got the time to finish that. And I'm always working on new videos for the facebook page.
