Research of a certain time period and/or place or going on vacation and falling in love with a place. Then I research the place to get a feel for what type of people might have lived there, what their occupations would have been, what concerns or problems they might have had, etc.

Re-writing and editing a historical romance that I wrote in the 90's and was print pubbed. I want to re-release it as an e-book. I believe I've grown and matured as a writer since then, despite several years of not writing, and I'm bringing all the knowledge gained to the book to make it a better read.
