Sarah Jaune I'm currently reading The Gulag Archipelago, The Daily Show, Turn The Screw, and The Handmaid's Tale. I rarely do one book at a time. Next up to the list, after Turn the Screw, will be the new Riordan book, then The Hobbit. Beyond that, I'm not sure what I'll read. :)
Sarah Jaune I've been mulling this all day because I'm not sure what to say. The one question I would like answered is why I had three miscarriages. I'd love to make that into a mystery and actually have an answer, but there just won't be one.

But one I could solve would be the mystery of my house. The people who lived here before us sort of slapped it together like The Burrow, except that it wasn't a good thing... They had a book case above the stairs which you couldn't get to except by a tiny catwalk. They didn't put a floor beneath the kitchen cabinets. They had an opening in the wall and put spindles in it (think the things you put to hold up a stair railing). It was a mystery house. Mostly I want to know why they didn't mop the floor of the cat pee before laying the new one right on top of it.

So there you go- my life is relatively normal, all things considered. :)

What about you? What would you want to write about from your own life?

Sarah Jaune Harry and Ginny are definitely tops, although I can't say there aren't another dozen spread around that I don't also love. I think I love Ginny as a character because she's one I can easily identify with, but together because she's a strong match for him. I don't feel like that's a very full answer, but something about them, maybe the long and intense fight over if he'd be with Hermione or Ginny, made it solid for me. Plus I write fanfiction for Harry Potter, so I still explore their relationship in writing.
Sarah Jaune Book 3, Seeds, is already out so there's no wait for whenever you're ready. I write fast... :D I hope you enjoy them!
Sarah Jaune This is my final book in this series, although there will be a follow up to 151 Days which was written by another author. I think when I have a chance I'll write some extra bits to go along with this series, but nothing more than small glimpses (however, free so that's always nice). If you go here: https://www.fictionpress.com/~yellowi...
you can create and account and follow along. It will email you an alert every time I post something new.

I have written another book, but it's a stand alone. It's coming out in October (hopefully) and I'm moving on to the next series, which my son has been begging me to write.
Sarah Jaune I am so glad you've enjoyed them that much :) I just received the final edits for the last of the novel from the fourth editor, so after I've made my adjustments, I am sending it off to the publisher. At that point, after he's reviewed it, then we can get it up for presale. I think there's a good possibility for it going on sale in late July or early August, but it's still a little in the air.

At the very latest, we're looking at the fall, but the goal is for a lot sooner.

Sarah Jaune I almost never get writer's block, but typically I walk away and do something else. Occasionally, if I am stumped, I'll read a book or find a podcast, and listen to things that will help get me in the mood. I also love to learn, so learning new things can sometimes give me inspiration.
Sarah Jaune It's extremely cheap therapy, right in the comfort of my own home.
Sarah Jaune Practice a lot. Write a lot. Take critiques with grace.
Sarah Jaune Currently working on edits, then some fanfiction (yellowitchgrl is my fanfiction penname for Harry Potter stories), then may try another novel.
Sarah Jaune I don't know that I do. I sit and write as long as I want, then I move on to something else. I rarely force myself to write if I'm not in the mood. BUT if I have an idea or the story is a work-in-progress, my brain is almost always humming the frequency of the story and I will be compelled to write more.
Sarah Jaune I got the idea for Shelter from a lot of places. I watched some prepper tv shows, and I also got the idea from a friend, who is writing the companion book to mine, 151 Days
