Thank you very much for asking me about the Songreaver's Tale. At the moment, I'm about halfway through writing the next book, and all the loose ends are starting to come together into a great big ball of tangliness. I'm afraid I've gotten pretty behind in my writing schedule, due to other work demands, but I hope to have everything back on schedule, come wintertime.

Thanks for writing, and I'm glad you're enjoying the series! As for book 7, I've just finished up writing a particularly big showdown scene for Garrett, and now his world's just gotten a bit weirder. I'm having fun just seeing where the story takes me, but, if I had to guess, I'd say it will be at least another couple of months until I might have something polished enough to show.

I'm afraid I don't know yet how many books it will take to get to the center of the Songreaver's Tale. I'm working from a very loose outline for this series, and mainly using discovery writing to move the plot. While I've spent years building the world they live in, the characters always seem to surprise me when it comes time to go exploring in it.
As for a release date, I'm doing my best to finish the first draft of book 5 by the end of this summer, and, if I manage that, I'm really hoping to have the release ready in time for the holidays.
