Lara Sean I think after I finished the first book, the ideas for the second book just naturally came to me. At the end of the first book, I posed a problem with the idea that it could be solved in the second book. I already set myself up with a built in storyline, so I didn't really have to struggle for ideas. It just took some brainstorming and free-writing, so it was relatively easy.
Lara Sean I find inspiration everywhere. I usually scroll through the internet on either Pinterest, Tumblr and YouTube, but inspiration can be found anywhere. I just keep my eyes open and there's always something that pops out to me, a photo, a lyric, a video and before I know it, the story starts forming and I have to see where it goes. It either becomes a new story or I try to incorporate it into what I'm currently working on.
Lara Sean I am working on the second book in the Last Look Back series. For now, it's the second of three books, but I may decide to do more. It's currently untitled and I'm pretty sure not even I know entirely what it's going to be about. And that's the fun of writing.
Lara Sean Write. It sounds simple, but it's sometimes the hardest thing for people to make it up in their mind to do. If you want to be a writer, just write. Don't worry about making it look pretty, don't wait for the "perfect" moment, just focus solely on getting words down on paper. Write what you want and the books you'd like to read. And finally, write for yourself. Don't write to please anyone. If you don't like what you're writing, throw it away because there is no guarantee that anyone else will like it either. Write what you love and I truly believe everything else will be fine.
Lara Sean I absolutely love being able to create a world that's all my own. I love that I am able to take all of the weird and crazy ideas that pop into my head, write them down, and weave them into a (hopefully) interesting story. It's the best and it's never the same thing every time.
Lara Sean I usually have to take a step back and do something else, maybe a walk or watch YouTube videos or something. It's when I try to force it that it just doesn't work, so the block usually means I need to take a break.
