How do you get inspired to write?

David E. Feldman I find life really interesting -- sometimes challenging and daunting, sometimes wonderful and inspiring. My experiences, or their emotional equivalents, show up in my stories.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?

David E. Feldman One of the best aspects of being a writer is seeing my books in book stores, whether online or in physical book stores, and knowing that people are reading them. I also truly enjoy the writing process. I feel I am my best self when I'm writing.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

David E. Feldman The book I'm working on is tentatively titled A Gathering Storm, and is a sequel to Not Today, the Dora's Rage Mystery Series Book 1. I get my ideas from every day lift, from the news, from events I read or hear about. I am often inspired by other authors' work.

What are you currently working on?

David E. Feldman I am working on Book 2 of my Dora's Rage Mystery Series. Book 1 is called Not Today. It introduces my heroine, Dora Ellison, whose traumatic childhood drives her anger -- particularly towards bullies, and abusers.
