Ideas come from all types of sources. As it is snowing where I live, I had an inspiration for a new modern romance. The book, A Long Way Home, I am editing and releasing soon came from a sense of fear as an ex-military spouse each day of my marriage. I built a whole story out of that fear and struggle to move on after something tragic like a death of a spouse.

The most important advice I can give is to believe in yourself and your voice without worrying about what others have to say. There is a time and a place for criticism, but there will always be someone wanting to bring you down. Don't let them! You continue to pursue the dreams you have and stick to what you know.
