Kyle Michel Sullivan It concerns how my grandmother was able to track down my grandfather after their divorce and get him to pay child support for my mother and aunt, even though he had left the US. This was in 1941 and was despite deliberate inaction by Texas' so-called system of justice and being shrugged off by the State Department.

Kyle Michel Sullivan Write. Seriously, write it down without editing a thing. The first draft is always crap; you use it to figure out what you're writing. The only good stuff comes when you hit draft 5 or 6 and the story and ..characters ar finally working with you.

Also -- read. A lot. Tells you what others are doing and how they're doing it.
