S.J. Reisner The biggest mysteries my life throws at me are missing things, and which cat barfed on the (insert location here). My life is relatively drama and mystery free. Perhaps that's why I enjoy reading and writing them.
S.J. Reisner She rolled her eyes. Then she gingerly picked them up and slipped them into her pocket.
S.J. Reisner I want to go live in the witchy/wizarding world of Harry Potter. ::sigh::
S.J. Reisner I routinely write anywhere from 30K-50K a month. I don't really have a routine. I just try to write. Usually around 1000 words or so (per sitting). I'm TRYING to become more disciplined with 3000 word days, but I'm not sure how that will pan out. I've always been someone who writes 30-50K a month. It hasn't really changed. I've been writing professionally since about 1995. Also, I don't write every day. Some days it's just not in the cards. So - haphazard. That's my answer. LOL
S.J. Reisner In recent years I've been living by the following maxims:
1. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.
2. Eliminated drama and dramatic people from your life (best thing I've done!)
3. Pick and choose your battles carefully.
4. What others think of you, or your work, is none of your business.
5. The best revenge is living well.
S.J. Reisner Wesley and Buttercup in the Princess Bride, of course! The loyalty and dedication between them is amazing. My second favorite would be Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger just because they're so unlikely.
S.J. Reisner I am on Facebook! :) One of my pages is: https://www.facebook.com/sjreisneraut...

One of my favorite short story collections is Stephen King's Night Shift, but there are a lot of fantastic horror anthologies that have come out in recent years that are a kick in the pants. With short fiction I gravitate toward supernatural and horror just because who doesn't love a scary story? I also write a lot of short fiction though - across genres.
S.J. Reisner Yes! Stephen King's "The Boogyman" has stuck with me since 1984 when I first read it. There's a lot of great short fiction out there.
S.J. Reisner I sit my butt in the chair and force myself to write something. Anything. Or I read a good book.
S.J. Reisner I love being so deep in a story that it's like I'm really there. That's the best part for me. That and hearing from readers who I've inspired or helped in some way.
S.J. Reisner Read, write, revise. Lather, rinse, repeat.
S.J. Reisner I am finishing up Her Demon Wedding and getting ready to jump into Saving Sarah May. After that - Ascending Darkness and I begin the Thirteen Covens saga! Woot!
S.J. Reisner Everything inspires me. This world is chock-full of inspiration, you just need to train yourself to see it.
S.J. Reisner I rode horses across the Irish countryside in Western Ireland back in the late 90's and have been in love ever since. Since I haven't had an opportunity to go back, writing stories about American characters in Ireland (Her Demon Lover, Her Demon Wedding - forthcoming, and Saving Sarah May - forthcoming) is the next best thing.
