Being your own boss. You alone are responsible for what you produce. I realize this is really hard when you are raising a family and caring for a house, or when you are going to work, but for at least two or more hours a day, even then, you are your own boss, and you control the entire virtual universe of your novel.

I watch a mystery or detective program on television. If the block is really bad, I put on sit-com programs until my mood passes.

Keep writing. Keep reading. Read hundreds of books in your genre. Then get back to writing. And don't be afraid of what other's think of your writing. Listen to them, learn from them, and keep on writing.

I have just published my first box set (The ABC Trilogy), plan on publishing my second box set in December, 2015 (The DEF Trilogy). After that I will be publishing Groping Gardener in January, Harried Hairdresser in February, and Itchy Intruder in March.

Inspiration comes when I am excited about what I am writing. The only way to get to that state is to start writing. So ultimately, inspiration comes from perseverance...the willingness to stick at the task until that excitement builds. I also have to remember, if I am writing something that doesn't excite me, how are my readers going to get excited?
