C.J. Hunt Hah! Usually my problem is too many ideas. But if I get stuck I just switch to another story and keep moving forward on that. Blocks are usually my brain telling me there's something about the story that needs to be sorted out still so I try to just roll with it.
C.J. Hunt The readers—100%. There is nothing as amazing as getting an email from someone who has fallen in love with the story or characters that you have created and is sharing how your stories have touched them in their lives wherever they are. It's amazing, and is absolutely what keeps me going.
C.J. Hunt Join every writers community you can. Learn everything you can from the people around you. And WRITE WRITE WRITE. That's the best way to really figure out what you're learning.

Write what lights you up, and makes you excited to sit down at your laptop or with your notebook.

Don't worry so much about getting it wrong. Just get it out of your head. You can't editing what's only in your mind.
C.J. Hunt My current work in progress is called MIDNIGHT. It's a twisty cinderella story with all kinds of interesting twists. It's the second story in the O'Donnells of Rivers End miniseries and comes after THE LIST.

It features Ethan Radcliffe and Ciara O'Donnell... sister to Connor O'Donnell (who we meet in THE LIST) and she is a movie star on the run from the Hollywood media and hiding out in Rivers End.
C.J. Hunt Getting inspired has never been the problem. SO many ideas, as I've been working with this town and these characters for almost 20 years now. My problem is getting the stories out of my brain faster than new ones come!
C.J. Hunt The power went out for most of British Columbia just before the Christmas holidays, and I was thinking about what would happen if you were in the middle of an awkward situation when a blackout happened. I was also wanting to write something fun and family focused and sweet and happy and DARK & STORMY fits the bill for all of that :)
