Mary Monroe There will be a total of six books in the Lexington, Ala. series. The first three Mrs. Wiggins, Empty Vows, and Love, Honor, Betray are related, and have some of the same characters. Fourth book, Double Lives, is a stand alone story set in same town, same time period, but is not connected to first three books. The fifth book, Bent But Not Broken, will be a stand-alone story, same town, etc. The last book in the series, no title yet, but it will also be a stand-alone story set in same town, same time period. Hope this helps!
Mary Monroe If it was up to me, all of my books would be made into movies! I am not a filmmaker, so I have to wait for Hollywood to call me. Thank you for asking.
Mary Monroe You can put anything you want in your story.
Mary Monroe Next book The Devil You Know will be released Oct. 31, 2017. It will be the follow up to Never Trust a Stranger. I hope you will read and enjoy it!
Mary Monroe I have always loved books about outrageous fantasies and paranormal subjects so I would love to visit Emerald City in the Land of Oz. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is one of my all-time favorite books. And every time I watch the movie (at least once a year), I wish I could take the journey to Oz with Dorothy and her friends.
Mary Monroe The final book in the series The Devil You Know will be released Oct. 31, 2017. I hope you will enjoy it too. I sincerely appreciate your support!
Mary Monroe No, there won't. My publisher decided to end the series with God Don't Make No Mistakes. However, some of the characters from the series may be featured in some of my upcoming books. Hope you will enjoy them!
Mary Monroe Thank you very much! I hope you will always enjoy my work--lots of new books in the works!
Mary Monroe I don't have a favorite couple, but if I had to choose one it would be Superman and Lois Lane. I was a huge Superman fan when I was growing up and I always wanted a strong mysterious man like Clark Kent/Superman.
Mary Monroe The first step is to get an agent so he/she can get it to the right editor. you can find an agent by googling on line, or get a copy of Guide to Literary Agents. Most of the information you need on how to get published is in this reference book. Order it from Amazon, get it from a bookstore, or check your local library reference section. Good luck!
Mary Monroe Every Woman's Dream was released in May of 2016. The book that follows it Never Trust A Stranger will be released March 28, 2017. Enjoy!!!
Mary Monroe The second book in this series "Never Trust A Stranger," will be released June 1, 2017. However the prequel to the series, "Can You Keep A Secret" (it's about Lola and Joan as teenagers) will be released as an e-book in September 2016. I hope you will enjoy these two! I am currently working on the third and final book (no title yet) in my Lonely Heart, Deadly Heart series.
Mary Monroe That's a question I can't answer because I've never experienced writer's block. If anything, ideas and new characters come to me too fast!
Mary Monroe Working only when I want to (unless I have deadline)! Seriously, the best thing about being a writer is the joy of sharing my characters and stories with people who love to read. The icing on the cake are the die-hard fans who have supported me from day one.
Mary Monroe Read, read, read! Learn as much as you can about the business. Don't let rejection letters discourage or depress you! Think of them as detours...
Mary Monroe I just finished writing Never Trust a Stranger, the follow-up to Every Woman's Dream. I plan to start writing the third book in the three-book series soon. The prequel to the series, Can You Keep A Secret? will be available as an ebook later this year.
Mary Monroe It doesn't take much to inspire me to write. Because I read everything I can get my hands on (even the trashy tabloids) and I watch several hours of TV each day, I go to bed with ideas forming in my head and dream about even more. My own personal experiences (and those of my friends and relatives) also inspire me.
Mary Monroe Internet dating has always intrigued me. I've read a couple of books on the subject and it's in the news so often I could no longer ignore it! Some of the news is good, some is not so good. Every Woman's Dream has a LOT of both. My new characters and their outrageous (mis) adventures haunted me for months before I decided to do something about it.
