Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Cindy Vallar The idea for my current project, THE REBEL AND THE SPY, came from Walt Disney's introduction to a multi-part episode about the Swiss Family Robinson. Disney tickled my imagination with his talk about the gentleman pirate who helped Andrew Jackson win the Battle of New Orleans in 1815.

What are you currently working on?
Cindy Vallar I'm currently working on a historical novel entitled THE REBEL AND THE SPY. It's set during the War of 1812 and takes place mainly in and around New Orleans, Baltimore, and Washington. The heroine is one of Jean Laffite's pirates and the hero infiltrates their group.
