After twenty years of dedicated historical romance readership (and a lifetime of anglophilia), Antonia Falk found herself weary of dukes and earls and impossibly perfect young ladies. After much dissatisfaction (and whining) she realized: be the change you wish to see in the world. She (eventually) set herself to the task, writing books filled with the messy, complicated, real characters that could believably inhabit the muck and charm of Victorian England, and find their own happily ever after–even as members of the middling classes.
