Luan rammed the gears of the Mercedes from second to fourth, and surged down the wrong side of the airport road past a line of cars, flashing his headlights. Jude was thrust back deep into the leather seat with the acceleration. The sky ahead of them had streaks of lilac and molten iron below the black heights as a lone aircraft banked down with white lights pulsing on its wing tips...

Robert Ragnar Hi everyone!
Firstly, thank you, Vincent, for setting up this amazing community.
Just wanted to share that my book, The BC Bible: A Humorous Journey Through Scripture, Culture, and the Politics of Power is finally out! 🎉
It is a non-fiction journey through the crazy moments of the Bible along with discussion of its cultural and political impacts. The tone is humorous but with a serious underlying message about literalism. Subjects include the birth of Christianity, circumcision, celibacy, paleocontact, slavery, anti-semitism and many others. Also my own reflections growing up in a non-literal Christian household.
For anyone interested, I'd really appreciate an honest review when you're done - good, bad, or in-between! Reviews help so much for new books to find their audience.
Any questions, just shoot! Always up for a chat about this stuff.
Thanks for letting me share!

Dan LaRock A Gift ... for You.

Grandpa's Gift is a story born from a grandson's walk through the world in search of something more. Attaining the comforts of business success, a long happy marriage and an amazing family life still left me yearning.

Following the rediscovery of a book containing messages from my grandfather from more than 60 years ago, I began to realize that the elusive “something more" is the wisdom hidden in its pages and stories. It's a wisdom as old as time itself, yet often hard to find for all of us.

That discovery became a gift for me from my Grandpa Max, and it could very well be a gift for you.

I'm happily making 5 copies of the book available to anyone here who'd be willing to read, rate & review.

All I need is an address & a verbal commitment to make it happen.

God's Peace.

1 Peter 5:6-7

Hunter H. Treasures of the Lochs
This is suspenseful YA Christian fiction, involving a modern-day treasure hunt in Scotland, with a bit of supernatural thrown in. Blending historical fact and Scottish legend within an action-packed adventure, Treasures of the Lochs is a powerful story of faith, friendship, and redemption. The target audience is teenage and above (some parts would be too intense for younger readers). This book is a 2024 NIEA Finalist in Religion Fiction. It also hit Amazon#1 New Release for Christian Fantasy. I hope you’ll check it out.

Manoranjan Ghoshal The story "Bini and the Vengeful Scientist" follows the journey of a talented young scientist named Bini who, after discovering a groundbreaking equation, finds himself entangled in a dangerous conflict with a powerful and ruthless scientist named Doms.
The narrative begins with Doms's unexpected return to Earth after a failed space mission, sparking Bini's concern that Doms will use his sinister plans to harm others. Bini, having already given Doms a punishment that he fears was ineffective, vows to no longer assist Doms. He alerts his friends, who are also prominent scientists, to Doms's true nature, causing a rift that hinders Doms's ability to continue his research.
The conflict intensifies as Doms, fueled by a desire for revenge, plans to use Bini's grandmother as leverage to force Bini back into his service. Bini, anticipating Doms's move, takes proactive steps to protect his grandmother and outsmart his adversary. He and his friends form an alliance, using advanced technology to spy on Doms, gather incriminating evidence, and expose his unethical experiments to the world.
The climax of the story is marked by a series of events that lead to Doms's downfall. The international scientific community, alerted by Bini's evidence, launches a full investigation, leading to Doms's public disgrace and the collapse of his projects. Doms, facing a long prison sentence, attempts a final, desperate act but ultimately surrenders.
In the end, Bini emerges as a hero, celebrated for his courage and ethical stance. His discoveries are used for the benefit of humanity, and he dedicates his life to mentoring a new generation of ethical scientists. The story concludes with Bini living a peaceful life with his grandmother, his journey a testament to the triumph of honesty and integrity over greed and ambition.

Here's a Q&A on my recent series in case anyone's interest is ever piqued. https://todnewman.com/halls-of-the-sh...
