Al Hi, My name is Alice, and I am new to the Goodreads community. 50 Shades was my first novel on BDSM. Now that my interest has been piqued, I`m reading the Wicked Lovers Series by Shayla Black.

message 5: by Jodi (new)

Jodi Hey everyone! I'm going on vacation in a few days and I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations for good books to download and read?

message 6: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Hey Jodi! A good book series that I would recommend is the Masters of the Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair or any of her other books. You can check out her website and it lists all the books in order. She also has some stand alone books as well but I have not read them yet. Have them on my "to read list.". Rachel

message 7: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Karl, Michelle Hughes does have some books out that look to be really good as well. I have not read any of them yet but plan to read the Tears of Crimson vampire series! It has some really good reviews also. Rachel

Emma Meade Jodi wrote: "Hey everyone! I'm going on vacation in a few days and I was wondering if anyone had some recommendations for good books to download and read?"

Hi Jodi,
It's not erotica but I would recommend Tegan's Blood and Tegan's Return by L.H. Cosway. Fast-paced, witty, sexy and fun. Great for a holiday read.

message 9: by Tina (new)

Tina Hi, my name is Tina. I love reading and getting lost in the characters and stories. I love reading series, never want them to end. I have read the Fifty trilogy, Shayla Black's Wicked series is awesome, I'm on book 6. I can not wait for book 2 from Sylvia Day's Bared to You! Does anyone have any suggestions for my next read?

message 15: by Traci (new)

Traci Hi, my name is traci, I am new to goodreads and all of BDSM reading and obsessed with it!! Let me know of any new authors!

message 16: by Candace (new)

Candace Blevins I'm Candace Blevins, and I write the Safeword Series.

Safeword Quinacridone is newly out, and is a standalone book, so it's not necessary to have read the earlier books in the series.

It's available on Amazon, and is free to borrow if you're a Prime member with a Kindle.

http://www.amazon.com/Safeword-Quinac...

All of my books are pretty heavy on the S&M, but all have varying levels of D/s. This one has very little D/s, but explores objectification on a pretty intense level.

message 17: by Cal (new)

Cal Hi Michelle, I have been a GR participant for about 5 months and found that I like bondage and/or D/s to be present at some level in any Romance I read. The title of this group says it all for me. I want all three with details in every read. My interest is learning how different authors choose the blend and how much detail is "right" for them. My category is "pretty much a lurker" and definitely not an author. Thanks for letting me join.

message 18: by Rose (new)

Rose Hi! *waves

I'm new to the group, but not new to Goodreads, nor kinky reads! I did have a book blog reviewing these types of books, but have recently set up a personal blog documenting my journey in the BDSM world…

I'm always open to hearing about authors that fans of the genre enjoy, so please, let me know if you've found any great stories!

:-) xo

message 19: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Not sure where to put it... But Kallypso Masters has a new book out. Somebody's Angel is the 5th in her series. A must read guys. These are seriously hot books. And well written too. She gets in deep with the characters and their stories.

message 20: by Areaian (last edited May 20, 2014 07:57AM) (new)

Areaian Hello fellow book lovers. I am Areaian. I am addicted to bdsm novels. I have read so many its difficult for me to find new ones that fit what I am interested in. I read M/f. Menage are not my cup of tea. I prefer a good strong but loving Dom. I enjoy all aspects of BDSM and prefer for it all to be present in my books.
I never know what to say in these so i guess that's me in a nutshell.

message 21: by H.A. (last edited Aug 26, 2014 03:23AM) (new)

H.A. Kotys Hi all, nice to e-meet you.

For several years, I've written for fun for myself. I've read a lot of fiction and always thought that I could do that and sometimes 'I can do better'.

Having been out less than 2 weeks, reviews are starting to come back and it's so encouraging that people are loving it!

So now the next three books in The Written Pictures series are being prepared for release - they've already been written but need the usual dusting down and sprucing up.

The first book was out 11th August and is called Descent Into Darkness.

message 22: by Sam (new)

Sam Carter I'm Sam and am new to this group

I enjoy BDSM and D/s fiction and lately have been on a streak reading Femdom. Am looking for more well written Female Domme books

message 23: by H.A. (new)

H.A. Kotys Hi Sam welcome and hope you enjoy the group :)

message 24: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Chesnut hello, i love all the dark, really dark stuff, like althea romigs consequences series and the indebted series by pepper wintersmy favs. i'm also into teacherstudent romances and age gap romances. i'm just starting to get into law enforcement romances, more specifically officers, detective and FBI engaged in a romance with a witness. now, those are hard to find, and i was wondering if anyone knew of witness/law enforcement romance type books? or as close to a witness as possible?

message 25: by H.A. (new)

H.A. Kotys Wow Kathy, that's voracious! Welcome to the group!

message 26: by Bob (new)

Bob Neils Greetings, all, and thanks for having me!

I write (and read) sex-positive, fetish-positive erotica that incorporates bisexuality, chastity, cuckolding, domination, glory holes, submission, and transsexuals. My approach to life and fiction is that if something – or someone – makes you happy, and brings you pleasure, then there should be no shame involved.

message 27: by Q. (new)

Q. Zayne Greetings, everyone, and thanks, Kathy, for the invites.

In my coming of age era, I read all the BDSM and Erotica I could find, de Sade, Reage, Anne Rice's Rampling books, Anais Nin, as well as the non-fiction and small press books.

During my university years, along with being active in the SM community, I connected with many other erotica authors in San Francisco. I did a lot of readings and contributed to zines and anthologies.

In 2015, I started publishing my work on Amazon. My best-known BDSM books are the Billionaires Club series and the Submission Island series.

Most of my books have a male dom power dynamic, and sometimes include spanking or bondage, sometimes whipping, and hard, intense, sex.

Many of the heroines are curvy, a lot of the heros are older men, and are usually billionaires or blue-collar hunks. A few books feature off-limits men or shifters, and several are menage and multicultural or interracial. All of them are high-heat with detailed sex scenes. My settings include the California coast, the Yucatan peninsula, and the Caribbean, as these are the places I spend my time.

I enjoy my work!

message 28: by O.M. (new)

message 29: by Tish (new)

Tish Robbins Thanks for the invite Kathy.

I love what I do.

message 31: by Zoe (new)

Zoe M Bates Hi everyone,

My name is Zoe, and I have written erotica books since 2010.

My books are PWP (Porn Without Plot... well there is a little plot), and cover subjects such as cheating, femdom, cuckolding, lesbian, lactation, paranormal, facesitting and spanking.

I have also written two BDSM books - MILF Plaything: A CFNM Revenge, and Femdom Flip (100 Shades of Red) – the latter being where a ‘Mr. Grey’ character gets his comeuppance, and then some!

I'm happy to chat about anything and everything, so please feel free to drop me a message and get in touch.

Happy reading, Zoe.

message 32: by S.B. (new)

S.B. (Beauty in Ruins) Hi, all! I am a reader first and an author second, but what it comes down to is I love talking about books.

amazon.com/author/sallybend

I read mostly romance and erotica, anything from sweet and innocent to nasty and kinky. The exploration of submissive sexuality is one of my favorite themes, no matter the gender pairings.

message 33: by Bozena (new)

Bozena Hi I'm Bozena, thank you for inviting me. I'm a reader and bookstagrammer. I love all kind of books. Really, I'm in the strange stage of trying all genres. My all favorites are of course romance and erotica.

message 34: by Zoe (new)

Zoe M Bates Welcome to the group all, hope you have some fun and find some rewarding reads ;o)

message 35: by Stacia (new)

Stacia ✩Creation Goddess★ Hello! I'm not sure if this is still done or at all required, but I don't mind, so I shall.

Thank you for having me! I'm Saoirse, I enjoy reading erotica and fanfiction, though it must have a plot and I prefer it to be D/s. I've been writing fantasy roleplay and fanfics since 2013 (actually here on GR), and in 2016 my RP partner and I started incorporating erotica into our stories.
Eventually, the smut became a regular occurrence in our work, gradually becoming more and more hardcore. I'm also very well acquainted with BDSM (take that as you may...) and I find that writing becomes far less fun without it and steamy sex scenes.
I haven't published anything, and I'm a bit insecure about my writing to do so, but I really do love to write.

Anyway, enough rambling; I'm pleased to be here. :)

John Kostly John Kostly,

I write BDSM Epic novels and about the BDSM Lifestyle. I enjoy all types of BDSM Literature and some Dark Romance. I live in the Lifestyle as a Master and have been in the lifestyle for about 25 years.

I'm always looking to both promote my own work and to find out good reads out there. I really struggle to find books and stories I like. They often fall flat, and I don't end up finishing many books.

Always looking to also work with other authors, and I will need BETA readers occasionally. Please message me here on GoodReads or visit my website at https://PricelessGemstone.com if you're interested. Sorry, volunteer positions only. If you all read my books, maybe that will change. :)

Amber Priceless Gemstones by John Kostly

Thanks
John

Jahleen Wright Hi, I’ve recently finished my degree program and diving back into my first love of reading. I am an author of poetry but I love Erotica, romance and psychological thrillers. From one extent to the next. I enjoy a great read.

message 39: by John (new)

John Hi, I'm John
I am 79

I have been reading porn,,, specifically Dom/Sub porn since 1967. I was twenty, and in Japan, at the time. I got my hands on a copy of The Story of O.

That delivers what EL James only promises.

I have a large collection of porn in my library. Not all is great, but there are gems in that mine. If you're looking for something in particular, I'm always glad to help.

I have a particular interest in Cuck-Queens (the reality of that,.. they are Doms. not submissives)

message 40: by John (new)

John I don't think Skylar is active any more.
This group needs a moderator.

Who do we talk to about that,...
is there a 'we' out there?

send me a message

message 41: by JM (new)

JM Reines Hi, I'm J. M. Reines

I'm an actress, model, and writer with a background in adult performance. I guess I'm a pantser because I just write what I feel, but most of my stories are at least based loosely on real experiences. I hope you'll check out my profile and say hi.

message 42: by John (last edited Jun 23, 2026 07:56PM) (new)

John Hi,
I'm John
GR admin finally did something about my request.
Skylar created this group and then left GR in 2014
It's been idle since 2014

If you have problem with that
I'm eager to resolve it
if not, you are free to leave.

I want to get input from all of you
I am 79 with a bad ticker
I'm not going to sit in this chair alone.
I need co-mods.
anybody care to step up?

I want to build a group that's comfortable for both men and women.
Why should 'smut and porn' be a segregated exercise?
The library is unlocked, if you want to share, feel free.
i'm going to post my library as soon as possible (it's enormous)

Those with 'specialized' publications,.. don't forget to brag when you post it. 😁

I would recommend that we 'friend' each other,.
It's the best way to talk since they eliminated DM

I've never been a 'mod' before so bear with me
I have a lot to learn
and i hope you're not in dire straights waiting for 'polls;
I haven't a clue on how to pull one off

oh, yeah,,. the cat's name was Barnabus
He passed in 2017
He was a sweetie.

message 43: by John (new)

John I'm trying to be firm, yet diplomatic

If i have to talk to the entire group,..
just to get a message to YOU,
it's going to be a problem

Friend each other..... please

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Hello and thanks for the invite. I go by UB on social media. i am in my mid 40s and have been into kink and BDSM since my late 20s. My particular favorites in BDSM erotica are D/s, spanking, bondage, tease and denial. It would be a shorter list to name what I don't like. I mostly read M/M but if it is good enough i'll try other pairings.

As a Mod of my own groups may I suggest adding folders and sub-folders galore for different subjects and archiving old messages and encouraging book challenges and recommendations.

Looking forward to getting recommendations outside my comfort zone.

message 45: by John (new)

John Thanks for the reply,
i just sent a repeat of last nights broadcast (not sure if was recieved)
this group has been in hibernation for over 12 years and it shows.

I changed a few lines, tweaking the tone of last nights broadcast and then went to review it, and cant find the sucker.
I know just enough to get INTO trouble.

i'm pushing 80 and my heart is in bad shape.
I don't want to sit in the chair alone.

I'm suspicious why nobody stepped up when Skylar left.
some of the profiles that are sitting her, were mods before Skylar.

If you have books to post, please do.
At least a few.. your best sellers and your most recent.

message 47: by John (new)

John keep the lights on if my ticker stops???
That;s a ton more then Skylar did

It's going to take me a while to post the cream of my library,
I'm sure you have some gems too.
We both have been collecting porn for more years than most of these kids have been alive.

to answer your question directly
I don't know
But i am just learning how labor intensive this job is.

Hi,..
Glad you're hear,
As i tied to say earlier.
I found this group seemingly dead, with bodies in it.

i want to put life in it.
I don't know what i'm doing.
this Mod thing wasn't my goal but somebody had to step up,
the bookshelf is unlocked,
When i get familiar with driving this bus, i'll do what i can to let you broadcast a message.

i don't know how many real members i have.
there's 230 bodies,.. i haven't a clue how many are alive.

thanks again for replying
