message 1851: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton Is it called Tardis because it's slow?

message 1852: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton And I know it's Time And Relative Dimensions In Space, or something. I just think it ought to be slow.
For effect.

message 1853: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker 'Tardy' sounds better as well, don't you think? It's like a term of endearment for Tardis. "Tardy and I are off to the Middle Ages," that type of thing. "Tardy and I are off to the pub to get completely caked in space and time."

Gingerlily - The Full Wild boohoohoo

message 1855: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton Tardy and I are off... slowly to the pub...

message 1856: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Have a good time and relative dimension in space.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Is Tardy a disguised snail?

message 1858: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton He's a tardigrade.
AKA water bear or moss piglet. It's all a lie about this space/time lark. Or fiction as we like to call our lies.

message 1859: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Personally I think its related to Ferro-Tardyferon, an iron supplement. You see, back in his school days the Doctor built a time machine from old curtains. Of course we all know curtains have never been great when used in conjunction with journeys across time and space so, completely misunderstanding the use of the drug, he started administering it to his curtain time machine. Soon enough it strengthened the machine transforming it into what it is today. He just nicknamed it 'Tardy' because, well, the iron supplement thing... and the Tardy thing.

message 1860: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton So it's curtains for The Doctor. Sad day. :(

message 1861: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Yes, but they're really strong ones... so it's ok.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Are they Net Curtains?

message 1863: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker No. Iron.

message 1864: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton Rather difficult to see through, then.

message 1865: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Nah, you just draw them.

message 1866: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton Haven't got a pencil.

message 1867: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Pencils are overrated. You can draw breath without one.

message 1868: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton And a pint. You can draw a pint.
I'm cheering up now. Doesn't take much.

message 1869: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Well you can pull those as well, but I'd need to draw a few first.

message 1870: by Jim (new)

Jim Cornelius wrote: "Well you can pull those as well, but I'd need to draw a few first."

I'll volunteer to help you sink them

message 1871: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Oh it isn't the sinking of said pints I'd have trouble with, it's the drawing. I'm a terrible artist

message 1872: by Jud (new)

Jud Well, well, well, This was completely uninformative but at least we know you're still alive and working on the last book.

I can't remember anything about the first two it's been so long, something about rainbows and glitter maybe?

message 1873: by Jud (last edited Jul 24, 2019 04:45AM) (new)

Jud p.s. I rather enjoyed the above dialogue^^

message 1874: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Ponies, Judster. The first two books relate the difficulties of being a purple pony in a world that leans towards a pinker hue. I try and juxtapose stuff with things to make something appear as nothing wherein, hitherto and of course why not.... and I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about. Eventide's probably about swans and the number twelve.

message 1875: by Jud (new)

Jud Who cares, just get on and finish it

Gingerlily - The Full Wild This sounds like the way Patti talks to Darren!

message 1877: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Yep, but just to spite her I've deleted one random word from the final book. Now it'll take even longer to finish.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild That's nearly as bad as removing one random piece from a jigsaw!

message 1879: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker I'd find it more amusing to remove the jigsaw entirely except for one piece.

message 1880: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton If you took that analogy with your books you could publish them with just one word. They wouldn't take so long to write.

message 1881: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker The one word being: 'Puzzling'. The greatest mystery tale of all time.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild I vote for 'Plinth'

message 1883: by Jim (new)

Jim I always felt that 'Vernacular' was one of his finest works

Gingerlily - The Full Wild and the sequel, 'Coruscating'.

message 1885: by Jim (new)

Jim I think that was first published for the YA market as 'Sparkle'

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Cornelius would never dumb down his work like that!!

message 1887: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker Note to self. Next novel must have sparkle, have coruscating characters and be written in the vernacular on a plinth.

message 1888: by Jim (new)

Jim works for me, I'd travel to view it :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild Guaranteed bestseller.

message 1890: by Kath (new)

Kath Middleton A vernacular plinth being a column?

Gingerlily - The Full Wild It could be used as a pedestal.

message 1892: by Jim (new)

Jim Gingerlily - The Full Wild wrote: "It could be used as a pedestal."

So long as we don't demand that Cornelius stands upon it, it should be fine

Gingerlily - The Full Wild I'm sure he would be willing to step up.....

message 1894: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker I saw what you did there.

Make it a low pedestal and I'm in. The fall won't do too much damage when I'm knocked off.

message 1895: by Cornelius (new)

Cornelius Harker So I've been meaning to do this for the last few Christmaseseseses. For those who actually remember the time when I used to haunt these isles... Merry Christmas. There, I did it! I did it! I remembered. Mic dropped.
