Sigh. You're right, they might have a book about AI.

I've read some really good books with AI characters, but I don't know of any on my TBR list. That's where the listopias come in handy!!

Dubhease Are the mods sure we're even getting a book challenge this year. PS doesn't list books under any of their categories anymore. The last time they posted about books appears to be November 17, 2025.

Bea Hey, y'all. I haven't forgotten about checking in, but each day since Thursday has ended before I got around to it. And, so has today. At this point, I am just going to wait until Thursday to update my reading and life reports.

However, I will tell you that colder weather has found us in SC. This morning's temp was 47 when I got up at 6:30a and managed only to get to the upper 60s around 4p. Seems like winter is knocking on fall's door down here already.

My new Central Air unit automatically balances heat and air, but definitely was doing the heat pump thingy today as my temp is set for 74.

See ya on Thursday.

Ai is a given I think. It's omnipresent today. I will be delighted. It was a monthly tag in a challenge in another GR group in last couple of months plus my IRL book club is an SFF one which has added AI 5o my TBR, most light and fun. At very least, I believe there is a new MURDERBOT due out in 2027.

Popsugar doesn't announce the challenge until December each year. Seems every year there is this anxiety caused by silence from Popsugar. Yet a challenge always appears. It's not the only outside GR challenge I do that is silent until the next year's is announced. Two of them don't announce until last 10 days of December.

Last year was November, though. I'm hoping for the same this year.

We don't have any insider info! Each year since Tara left PS, there has been concern that they will not create a new reading challenge. And each year they come through and post a new challenge. So odds are high there will be a 2027 PS reading challenge!

Last year they posted a few teasers starting Oct 1 on Facebook, and they released the 2026 challenge on Nov 1. We haven't heard anything yet this year.

ETA: Taylor was the PS member who posted the list info for 2026, and she just published the PS article about "relaxorettes" two weeks ago, so it looks like she's getting married soon. I guess she's got some other things on her mind more important to her than our reading challenge!
