can't add ASIN for new book > Likes and Comments

I manually added the second book in my Survivor Covenant series, The Archives Project, in advance of publication so I could offer a review link for ARC readers. It's not due out until 21 June. I now have an ASIN (B0H4LCD8FT) but I can't add it to the box on the book details page, which is already populated by a shortened version of the ISBN. Will the ASIN eventually populate correctly, once the book is published?

No, it will not. The system will incorrectly auto-import the edition with ASIN instead.

If you want to prevent having duplicate edition, you need to contact Support and ask them to change the ASIN. Librarians are not able to do that.
