Frederick Krasse Valor of the Storm

The greed and ferocity of the Council know no bounds. Hirudu will not stop until all the free people have been conquered. And with someone loyal to him in their ranks, he can taste victory already.

Amo wakes to find that disaster has struck and he is pushed into a position of authority. With a plan in mind in case of events like these, he has to save what was left of his people while suspecting his officers of foul play. He never dreamt of being betrayed nor of glory.

Their paths cross with the mysterious people of the mountains who welcome them into their midst.

However Amo still needs to keep a watchful eye on his men, as the traitor is out to ruin that which Amo holds most dear to him. Together, the Villagers build a new life in the mountains and gain renewed energy to see justice done.

In the face of danger and the mysticism of the peaks behind them, Amo and his men had only the choice of rising up against the storm and showing it the meaning of valor.

Scott Lee After 25 years of tinkering, I’ve finally finished my sci-fi comedy, The Time Diary. If you’re after a humorous, breezy fun read this summer, may I cheekily recommend my own? Hopefully, you’re a fan of character driven chaos, and good old British humour. If so, you might enjoy a free copy of my new novel.

The eBook is free from until Wednesday (25th June) on Amazon:

UK – https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0F8VG16RP
(If you’re outside the UK, just search The Time Diary by Scott Lee Evans — it should be available everywhere.)

If you miss the free window, I’ll be keeping it at just 99p throughout June and July.

So what’s the book about?

The Time Diary is a sci‑fi comedy adventure starring two down on their luck bar stewards who unexpectedly get caught up in the discovery of time travel. Their dull but safe lives quickly spiral into tangled timelines, absurd moral dilemmas, universe altering decisions and understanding the true meaning of self loathing.

With nods to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy (fancy knowing the meaning of 42?), Red Dwarf, and Black Mirror, it’s packed with British humour, roguish misfits, and a dollop of heart (though not too much, these are Brits, after all).

So if you fancy supporting a new author, give the first chapter a try, and hopefully, you’ll be hooked for the rest of the book.

Cheers, and happy reading!

Scott Lee Evans

message 1565: by Rodger (new)

Rodger Carty Hello everyone. My debut novel is Falling Up.

It's science fiction/fantasy with a sprinkle of humour.
It's post apocalyptic, at a time when people are beginning to rebuild, so very positive. A fairly light read with action. Feel good fiction. Suitable for teens to seniors.
It's a Peter Pan remake with science, using gravity control instead of pixie dust.
The story follows the main character from 7 years old to young adult, from a virtually ostracized friendless shy kid to a popular, confident and capable person with many close friends. He becomes a righter of injustice, protector of the weak, and leader of many.

Michael Clarke I'm Michael S. Clarke. I've been writing about the AI singularity and it's impact on humanity for a decade now. I've finally reached the point where I feel my work is worth reading. Ironically the science has nearly caught up with the fiction, and even as written starting in 2014, it now stands as approaching hard scifi. I'm sticking my neck out on the assumption that my writing is now capable of standing on its own merit. To that end I'm promoting a free copy of my short stories and a couple of novel previews. message 1569: by M. (new)

M. Redding Hello, fellow readers and writers. My personal story is not unusual. Wrote a book 10 years ago and then... nothing. I finally took the plunge and got it published. Here is a little about the book... Indigo 5, Another New Beginning.
In the vast cosmos of science fiction, there are stories that speculate about the stars—and then there are those that use the stars to illuminate the deepest truths of being human. Indigo 5 belongs to the latter. Within these pages, M. Redding doesn’t just chronicle a mission to colonize a distant world; he guides us through the emotional terrain of grief, purpose, resilience, and hope in the face of overwhelming loss.
Set against a backdrop of planetary exodus and political deception, Indigo 5 follows the quiet, reluctant journey of Johnathan Eckers—soldier, father, widower—as he is pulled back into a destiny he neither asked for nor wants. Through his eyes, we navigate a galaxy of uncertainty, where loyalty and survival are at constant odds, and where leadership means carrying the weight of both the past and the future. But what begins as a mission for humanity’s survival slowly becomes something far more personal—and profound.
This is not just a story of ships and stars, but of marigolds blooming in alien soil, and the memories we plant in the darkest of places, hoping they will grow again. With a deft blend of rich world-building, grounded emotional stakes, and timely questions about technology, trust, and truth, Indigo 5 challenges us to ask: what does it truly mean to begin again?
For those who love science fiction with heart—and stories that linger long after the last page—Indigo 5 is a journey worth taking.

STAR TREK © and its trademarks (including Picard, Strange New Worlds, Lower Decks, Enterprise, Voyager, Deep Space Nine, Discovery and The Next Generation) are all owned by © Paramount Global Pictures/CBS Studios Inc. and distributed by CBS and Paramount Plus. This book is for technical extrapolation with commentary.

If you enjoy this work, please rate and comment as it helps me with the algorithm to reach new readers.

Through the Black Curtain reimagines one of Star Trek: Voyager’s most enigmatic encounters—the alien species glimpsed within the Delta Quadrant Void. In this speculative extrapolation, author Euftis Emery reconstructs these “Void dwellers” as the Ka’thara: a civilization forged in silence, scarcity, and extremes.

Blending canon with astrophysics, evolutionary biology, and cultural theory, the book traces the Ka’thara from their tidally locked homeworld to their emergence as a distributed Type II civilization. Distinct day-side, twilight, and night-side strains evolve into a unified people whose technology and philosophy reflect the primacy of survival through concealment. Their awareness of the Borg—interpreted as an existential mirror—catalyzes new doctrines, dual-fleet structures, and resonance-based weaponry designed not for conquest, but for avoidance and redirection.

Interwoven with technical analysis are narrative case studies: Voyager’s perilous crossing of the Void, the Malon’s reckless incursions, and Ka’tharan responses ranging from observation to repurposing of intruders.

Rich in speculation yet grounded in science, Through the Black Curtain offers Star Trek fans a fresh lens on survival, philosophy, and what it means to endure in a universe defined by both abundance and silence.

message 1575: by Soren (new)

Soren Blackwood Hello fellow sci-fi readers and authors,

My name is Soren K. Blackwood, and I'd like to introduce my debut novella, The Sentinel Project.

It is the first book in The Sentinel Protocol trilogy, a story born from a lifetime of seeking answers to the great "what ifs" of our existence. It is a thriller built for readers who believe a story should not just entertain, but should challenge our very perception of reality.

At its heart is a single, compelling question: What if our most ancient myths are not just stories, but the operating manual for the most powerful technology in human history?

The novel follows a disgraced geneticist who discovers a 50,000-year-old message encoded in our "junk" DNA, throwing him into a race against a shadow organization to unlock the secrets of a forgotten global network powered by the Giza pyramids.

If you are a fan of high-concept thrillers that blend the pacing of Michael Crichton with the world-altering mysteries of Blake Crouch, I believe this story will resonate with you.

Thank you for creating this space for us to connect.

— Soren K. Blackwood The Sentinel Project

Manoranjan Ghoshal When a mysterious signal begins echoing through the Spiral’s deepest sensors—encoded in perfect prime intervals—the Starborns know something is wrong. Ari, Lyra, and Zin trace the anomaly to an uncharted shard: a swirling, ever-shifting realm known only as the Fractal Labyrinth.
What begins as a search for the source quickly becomes a nightmare of infinite choices.
Inside the Labyrinth, time loops and space folds. Every decision splinters into new realities. Ari meets versions of himself who made darker choices. Lyra faces the consequences of paths she never took. Zin’s code fractures as he questions whether he is machine, human… or both. At the center of it all lies the Fractal Seed—a living crystal mind calculating every possible outcome of the universe, and collapsing under the weight of paradox.
To survive, the Starborns must solve chaotic puzzles, navigate mirror timelines, and uncover the forgotten equation at the maze’s core. But not all versions of themselves want to escape. Some are willing to sacrifice everything to rewrite destiny—even if it means trapping the others forever.
Can they find the one true path in a universe where every choice matters?
Or will they be lost forever in the patterns of infinity?

Eric Magun Hi Everyone!

I'm Eric Magun, an award-winning filmmaker and now novelist. I’m excited to invite you to step inside the Sinners Club—my multi-award-winning debut novel Thank God for the Sinners that just hit the shelves in August. Dark, gritty, and unapologetically raw, this psychological thriller drags you headfirst into the wild, unforgettable ride following outcast Rick Price as he explores memory, childhood scars, trauma, adventures through China and more. Early readers have called it 'Tarantino meets Bukowski on a Bourdain odyssey.'

As this is my life’s work, I would be thrilled to know all your thoughts, opinions and feedback on here, also through a Goodreads review, or even an amazon review. As a new author, this is incredibly valuable to me and I would be happy to return the favor to anyone else in the community. Hope to find new ‘sinners’ in here. Buckle up and enjoy the chaos!

Manoranjan Ghoshal Invention of Bini’s Ghost Viewing Device
By G Minerva
A Scientist’s Journey to Prove That Death Is Not the End
When fear ruled over reason, one young scientist dared to question the unknown.
Bini was never one to believe in ghosts. In a village steeped in superstition and ritual, she trusted only in equations and experiments. But when tragedy and mystery collide, her logic is shaken — and a question arises that no textbook can answer:
What exactly is a ghost?
Driven by unyielding curiosity, Bini begins a bold experiment to uncover the truth hidden behind centuries of fear. Her creation — The Etherioscope, a revolutionary device designed to detect and visualize the energy of the departed — opens a door humanity was never meant to see.
As science captures its first glimpse of the afterlife, Bini finds herself at the crossroads of wonder and terror, witnessing spirits who laugh, feel, and remember. What she discovers will forever blur the line between life and death, matter and memory, science and soul.
A haunting blend of scientific imagination, mystery, and metaphysical wonder, Invention of Bini’s Ghost Viewing Device is a breathtaking story about discovery, courage, and the eternal question that defines us all —
Is death the end, or just the beginning of another existence?
