Epic. Fail. Potterworld.WB (I think it was them, anyhow) created a "Parseltongue translator" that will translate any phrase into Parseltongue. I, of course, wondered how it worked. If you're anything like me and you go onto this website, you will notice that the Parseltongue is either the EXACT Parseltongue phrase from one of the films OR it's a very slightly remixed version, even though what you're saying is likely NOT what they were saying in the film.
*is irritated* Be a little more creative if you're gonna make something like that.
Has anybody been following the 'Harry Potter World Cup'? I have, its its better than expected. Basically, its an elimination sort of game. Characters are pitted against each other, and everyone votes. The winner goes through to the next round until only one remains. Here is the fixture (updated with eliminations): http://www.mtv.com/content/news/2011/...
And here is the current voting: http://moviesblog.mtv.com/tag/harry-p...
Last time I checked Ron vs Fred, Lupin vs Dumbledore & Bellatrix vs Draco had less then 1% between them...
Yeah, Jess, I've been doing it. I cannot believe Cedric go that far and Luna. :( And Lupin won. I love Lupin, but don't get me wrong, but I don't see how he won. I'm rooting for Snape at this point..
Yesterday was Harry Potter day at my camp, so there were HP related activities, including quidditch. I got to be the snitch! It was so much fun!
And the guy who was the ref goes to Middlebury, which created muggle quidditch, so he was an announcer at the International Quidditch World Cup for the past three years. It was cool.
I have grown up with those books for the past eleven years, since I was fourth grade, and I absolutely loved them! JK Rowling is an amazing person, and I really hope to see more from her in the future. I just saw the last film on Friday (sigh ;( ) and thought it was great! It was soooo close to the book, that the wait was just absolutely worth it! And I actually have liked all the movies, just because I am one of those people that gets sooo excited for something, that pretty nothing disappoints me, if then its got to be absolutely awful and nothing like the book!

I remember one of them saying- " We found many people who could act like Luna. But what set Evanna apart is that She is luna."
The Writing in all the books is awesome. I love harry potter. But i think it's not fair to compare it to the Hunger Games because i think they are both so different. I think harry potter is way better by the way. (No offence, that is just what i think)The harry potter franchise is so huge i can't believe it!!!!!!
Has Any one seen the movie "the freedom writers" if you ever watch it, look at the girl principle who is basically the bad guy. That seems like the same actor who played umbridge in harry potter!!!! CHECK IT OUT!!!
Also.. I love all books but the 5th because it is too long.... but it is quite funny and you can relate to harry and feel his pain in that book. my fave one in the series is the 7th, 2nd and 3rd.
My HP 1- 5 DVDs were broken because I tend to watch it over and over again. I just can't stop watching it.. I'm not used to a year with no HP movie. :\
I absolutely loved all of the books and movies! I love the books a little more though, just because they include more information. I've heard a lot of people say that HP 6 wasn't very good, but I thought it was great!!!
Loved the books and the movies. I think the books were way better though. All details. It's nice to see a series of movies that could be continued and keep all the actors. And they picked the actors at the right age unlike The Hunger Games or Percy Jackson. They got to grow up in an awesome atmosphere. And they are well rounded adults, staying out of trouble and becoming successful. Thank You J.K. Rowling for giving us our childhood! =)
I love both the books and the movies, but the books are better. They explain so many more details, and situations that never appear on screen. But the movies are wondeful too.Anyway, the films are wonderful at creating a magical atmosphere. And most of the actors did a great job. There were some changes that didn't convince me, and some actors who didn't quite fit the supporting roles they played... But overall, they're very good.
I enjoyed the videogames too! Exporing Hogwarts myself while playing...
