I just found out tonight that my friend from when I was a teenager [and in my twenties] passed away from cancer. I haven't seen her in about 30 years but she was only a year older than me.

I'm so sorry Anne, comfort to you and her family during this time.

So...got my kid's senior picture gallery back last week...and I definitely teared up looking through them. Ugh. I can't believe he's a senior already. This is just crazy.

It takes my niece two months to prepare for Halloween, but it's always amazing. She and her mother decorate mother's house. One year they built a huge dragon and mounted it over the garage where the kids get the candy. Another year she dressed as Maleficent and stood in the driveway for hours. The little girls loved it.

Last year my mom sat outside with a fire and handed out candy. Its the best thing due to the dog.

Oh wow Anne! I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost a high school friend last year to cancer. She and I were the same age.

We have a Halloween sign in the yard. Some of the neighbors have these great pumpkins and ghosts.

You're welcome Anne! My friend was 55. Like you said, way too young. It's so sad that they can't seem to find a cure.

We have some halloween flags up but that's it.
