Kalvin Madsen Hello! I’m Kalvin M. Madsen, a writer from Pasadena, CA, working to publish my debut short story collection, Platforms and Stations. It’s a mix of speculative fiction stories, some of which are deeply personal while others tackle broader, thought-provoking themes. I also manage a small literary magazine, Low Hanging Fruit, which has given me insight into publishing on a tight budget. I’m here to exchange ideas about book promotion, indie publishing, and storytelling—and hopefully find a few like-minded creatives to connect with

Crow Aguero Hello Everyone,

I am a new author and avid reader/audiobook listener. I am really into works of fantasy. Currently listening to the new Stormlight Archive book and enjoying it. I recently wrote and published my first book this past month. Proud of it, but a little embarrassed to show to friends and family as I have no idea how it holds up and feels a bit like exposing myself ya know. If you got some advice pertaining to that I would appreciate it a ton.

This group is heavy in the fiction genre, but we do have some non-fiction authors and books. You might check out the "non-fiction" and "memoir" shelves of the Group Bookshelf to see if anything there looks interesting.

Cathelijne Filippo Hi everyone,
what a lovely place to be!
My name is Cathelijne and I am a Dutch SP author of the metaphysical non-fiction kind. So far I have written 7 books for adults in this genre and 1 for kids. The 9th book is on the way to the printer as we speak;-)
The only downside is they are all in Dutch and I am not sure if there are any Dutch authors / readers in this group.
Still trying to figure out how all the reviewing works, but am an avid reader so would love to join in.
I love curling up on the sofa with a good book, and my four cats whilst hoping my hubby will bring me a cup of tea;-)
Looking forward to getting to know other authors.

Clarissa Markiewicz Hey Everyone! I'm Clarissa, and I've got two novels out (my third is due out later this year). I've been on Goodreads for a long time, but I haven't been very active. It's time to change that! I crave new, offbeat, usually indie books, so please friend/follow me so I can hear about your recommendations. Also, I'm always looking to connect with new readers who might be genuinely interested in escaping for a little while into the universe of my books and my blog. Please come on by my author's page and see if it's anything you might be interested in (or just stop by and say hi!) Also, 3 little known facts about me: 1) I actually like doing laundry; 2) I used to be a DJ/karaoke host; 3) I once met Whoopi Goldberg, and by "met" I mean I got to shake her hand at an event as she passed by and blurt out to her oh-so-smoothly, "My mom and I love you!"

Pui Ho Hey everyone!
I'm Belle, and I just started my self-publishing journey this June. I'm really excited to be part of this group filled with amazing indie authors where we can support and learn from one another.

A little about me — I'm a Canadian immigrant who moved here three years ago. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to reflect on and wrap up the first chapter of my life — the one I spent in Hong Kong, the place I once called home.

With deep roots in both Hong Kong and Macau, two cities shaped by colonial histories, I’ve always been inspired by the rich, hybrid cultures that bloomed there — especially the food. One of my favorites is the iconic egg tart, which inspired the title of my book: Yellow Tart.

Feel free to check it out if you get the chance — I’d truly appreciate any feedback!
