Yeah. Sorry I haven't been around. Life got busy and then I joined a clan in Destiny 2 so I was finally able to do raids and dungeons and other stuff I wasn't able to do as a solo player.

Good to be back on the reading wagon though!

Mysterium is a lot of fun! I really like Eldritch Horror too.

LTJ @Kevin: Destiny 2 is pretty fun, glad you got to experience those raids and hopefully, you got some nice new loot :-D

It really is a good game despite its quirks. Thanks! Got some good rolls on a few weapons. The armor is all just fashion at this point thanks to the transmog. lol

LTJ @Kevin: Hell yeah and anytime! LoL all about the D2 loot! I've been mostly playing CS2 and plan to finally start Baldur's Gate 3 in a few days :-D

I liked the limited time i have played Baldur's Gate 3. If you've played any other Larian Studios games before, like Divinity: Original Sin, it's like that but with Dungeons and Dragons rules. A lot of fun when it isn't crashing.

message 258: by LTJ (new)

LTJ @Kevin: Hell yeah! I loved Divinity: Original Sin!!! LoL yeah, that's why I waited until they patched the hell out of BG3 and now I see it's in a playable state. Saving it for after work tomorrow when I'll be off on Fri/Sat to finally jump in :-)

message 259: by Kevin (new)

Kevin @LTJ: Smart move on waiting for a patch. I should have done that too. guarantee you will love this if you liked Original Sin. Enjoy!

message 260: by LTJ (new)

LTJ @Kevin: Thanks and yeah, I learned from Cyberpunk 2077! LoL another game I'll give another whirl probably in the new year. Something tells me I'm going to be quite busy with Counter-Strike 2, Baldur's Gate 3, and then Starfield right after :-D

Thank you and hell yeah, I can't wait to play. I got super busy with work but am off Fri/Sat so I'm firing up BG3 first thing in the morning with an iced coffee!

message 261: by Kevin (new)

Kevin @LTJ: Starfield is up there on my list too. Although The Lords of the Fallen will be next for me. I enjoyed the original one. I like me some Soulsborne and Souls-like games. Dark Souls is actually what go me into reading. I searched for "books like dark souls", The Malazan Book of the Fallen was recommended, so I got Gardens of the Moon and off I went.

Happy adventuring to Baldur's Gate!

message 262: by LTJ (new)

LTJ @Kevin: That's awesome and I remember The Lords of the Fallen, another awesome game!!! LoL much respect because those Souls-like games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring would frustrate the hell out of me. I'm not good at all when it comes to those kinds of games so I tend to stick to my FPS, RPG, RTS games and keep it simple :-)

LoL wow, look at that for books like dark souls! I know that there are so many books around these kinds of games it's crazy since it does feel like you're reading a huge novel due to such epic storylines.

Thanks and happy gaming to you as well :-D

Justin I myself have a few horror board games I got from work. I have Gloom, Mysterium Park, Horrified, and Superfight Horror Edition.

message 264: by Kevin (new)

Kevin @Justin: I also have Horrified, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, A Touch of Evil, and Shadows of Brimstone. I was a backer for the Dead By Daylight board game, although I haven't played it yet.

That's awesome. I've played Horrified by myself twice but have yet to play it with others. I may soon.

Marie Do any of you play mobile games on your phone and if so, what do you play?

I play Gemstone Legends, Puzzles and Survival, Dragon Strike, and Empires & Puzzles.

message 267: by LTJ (new)

LTJ @Marie: I used to play Words With Friends 2 and am thinking of maybe playing it again :-)

I used to play that with a couple of GR friends years ago. If you decide to play again let me know and I will download it on my phone to play with you. :)

message 269: by LTJ (new)

LTJ @Marie: Oh nice, sure thing, LoL I'll download it tonight :-D

I love P&S! What an addiction that turned out to be! LOL I have been spending time on P&S discord server asking questions and getting some interesting answers. :)

It can definitely be that way, lol. If I didn't work, I would probably be on it a lot more then I am.

message 273: by Tammy (new)

Tammy I prefer to read though I do play solitaire or mahjong on my laptop.

message 274: by LTJ (new)

LTJ LoL I'm the same way but since I get 2 days off a week every Friday and Saturday, I spend one day reading and the other gaming for a nice balance. One of the horror book podcasts I listen to mentioned how great reading and gaming go together.

She was saying how you can invest a lot of time in one, miss the other, then jump into it and get excited about it. She plays World of WarCraft and reads like crazy so it's a good balance. I started to do that and it works well for me :-D

I mostly play FPS games and obviously, read horror!

message 275: by LTJ (new)

LTJ If anybody here is also on Steam, please Friend Request me below but please give me a heads up you're from Goodreads as I usually don't accept everyone :-)

Dr. Taja M. Just started playing Sprout Valley.

message 277: by Asen (new)

Asen Most recently I've been playing Ninja Saviors (a lovely remake of Ninja Warriors for the SNES), and trying to get my friends to start a new D&D campaign.

Other than that been playing Hunt Showdown on and off for what feels like decades. It just occurred to me Hunt's world is ripe for horror literature, and I hope someone gets to writing it.

Nice! How does it stack compared to other cozy farming sims? I have someone in my life who's always on the hunt for new ones.

I've never played Sprout Valley, but I wanted to pop in to suggest Fields of Mistria for your cozy farming sims fan! It's still in early-release, but even with the current state of it, you can easily get 30-40+ hours of playtime. I like to describe Fields of Mistria as the beautiful love child of Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing.

Mobile games are about all I can handle. I get awful motion sickness from games on the computer or TV.

I tend to cycle through different types of games. Lately I've been obsessed with word and solitaire games. I play the NYT Wordle, Connections and Strands puzzles every morning. I also play Puzzle Page which has all sorts of words and logic games included; Solitaire Deluxe 2; and Sliding Seas, which is a fun logic game that I really can't explain. It's just incredibly addictive and cute! :)

Oooh. I'm late to the party here, but I'd love to play Words With Friends with you guys!
