Hi Nadia - I too live in the PNW surrounded by forests! The PNW is the perfect place for reading cozy mysteries!

I live in Iowa and just broke down and bought a kindle for digital reading, but am all about the smell of a brand new book. I love fantasy and cozy mysteries.

I am also a horror guru, and Stephen King fan.
If you are interested in my book, you can find it with ease on Amazon. Thank you....

My name is Nance and I love cozy mysteries! They are easy and fun to read.
I thought I'd try to figure out how to use Goodreads to communicate with more people, and this is the first group I am joining! I have written a couple of reviews in the past, but I usually just give star ratings (I read before bed, so I'm fairly tired when I finish a book).
Anyway, just a little about me: I am a writer and I'm currently working on a novella -- it's not a cozy mystery, though. I've been writing my whole life in some capacity. I made my career as a technical writer for more than 30 years and I retired a few years ago.
I look forward to meeting others who enjoy the same genre and discussing books.

My name is Lanna, and I love all kinds of mystery books, from cozy to crazy. They are fun to read! But I also like historical fiction as well, but if it's a mystery, even better!
A bit about me really like to bake if I'm not reading for fun, I like blogging, and I am simply living life to the fullest.
I look forward to knowing all of you!

I’m Heather :)
I love reading cozy mysteries/romance/fantasy! Favourite cozy mystery at the moment is the Thursday murder club series, love those books a lot!
I got into cozy mystery more through TV when I was younger watching things like Midsomer Murders and Father Brown but love to read a good mystery now!
Looking forward to chatting all things cozy mystery with everyone :) x

I am a university professor. I would like to explore the group and I do have a book I would like to promote. What prompted me to write the novel is the intense struggle between the self, religion, fantasy, and metaphysics in general. I would like feedback from the group.

My name is Terry and I love all mysteries, but cozies in particular. Some of my favorite authors are: M.C. Beaton, Donna Andrews, Rhys Bowen, Mary Daheim... the list goes on and on. I am always on the lookout for new cozy recommendations!

Tricia wrote: "Hello! I'm Tricia and it seems like I've been with this group forever. I hide in the background most of the time, but read all the comments and most of the monthly authors. Even though I belong to ..."
Hello! Glad you are here!

Good for you. Maybe try NaNoWriMo in November. It is a site where you write 50,000 words in November to "win". Winners get a badge and happy they finish. A lot do not finish but the idea is to write.

Finally discovered Groups on Goodreads, what a treat.
This is my third group (also in a Kate Morton discussion group, and Spoonies - a group for people with chronic illnesses).
I always love reading mystery, cosy and otherwise, Like many of you, I have the collected works of Agatha Christie in front of me as I type this ... but I'm looking forward to discovering some little-hyped gems from lots of new authors.
Great to be here xx

Hi Beth, Im Beth :) I can relate to trying to not buy books and just get from the library, but I work at the library so it helps. I have a large to-read list that i slowly pick away at. I read a bit of everything but mostly I love mysteries. especially in the fall!

I'm a surveyor, I own a sea kayak, live within a stone's throw of the briny and luckily work in coastal surveying.
I yearn for fiction that asks me think: join-the-dots, figure what is happening, where the plot is taking me.

I'm living in Glasgow for now. I'm heading south as soon as I can. I've stopped going out in the evenings: it's not safe.
Books are where I'll be for the foreseeable. Making friends would be good for me.

I'm from the UK and have decided being at home and reading is now the better choice for my leisure time.

Born in Thailand. For the next few years I'm here in the UK (where my grandpa was born).
Anyone want to be friends? I'm friendly.
