David Leaphart Hello! My name is David Leaphart, living in Greenville SC. Originally from Charleston, so reading Laura Childs series on the Indigo Tea Shop. She knows her Charleston. Also reading Anna Lee Huber's Lady Darby series along with Candice Harris' Sebastian St. Cyr series. I've really fallen for Maisie Dobbs, reading and rereading Jacqueline's series. For short stories, the British Crime Classic Library series is excellent. Just finishing Charles Lynch's Lenox series. Finished the Cate Kensie series, waiting on the new one this summer.

Ryan King Hi all! This is my first group on GoodReads! My name is Ryan, I'm a proud father of two amazing boys, two fantastic aussies, and a whole lot of books and Lego. My boys and I have our very own Fellowship of the Nerds Book Club (and dnd club) and we spend a lot of our time reading and writing.

I live in Iowa and just broke down and bought a kindle for digital reading, but am all about the smell of a brand new book. I love fantasy and cozy mysteries.

message 1059: by Trish (new)

Trish Hello. My name is Trish and I hail from Pittsburgh, PA. I am so happy to have found this group. Leslie Meier's Mail Order Murder may have been my first Cozy Mystery, which I read by in the early '90s, and have been a huge fan of her books since. I just finished my first Diane Mott Davidson's and am looking to read more of hers. I read other genres, also. I am a big fan of James Patterson's Michael Bennett series. Anyway, I look forward to being a member of this group.

Ariel Palenik(TheDayDreamingWriter) Hello there! My name is Ariel Palenik, and I am newly published author of the mystery novel, "What's Wrong With 1961"
I am also a horror guru, and Stephen King fan.

If you are interested in my book, you can find it with ease on Amazon. Thank you....

message 1061: by N.C. (new)

N.C. Hello!
My name is Nance and I love cozy mysteries! They are easy and fun to read.

I thought I'd try to figure out how to use Goodreads to communicate with more people, and this is the first group I am joining! I have written a couple of reviews in the past, but I usually just give star ratings (I read before bed, so I'm fairly tired when I finish a book).

Anyway, just a little about me: I am a writer and I'm currently working on a novella -- it's not a cozy mystery, though. I've been writing my whole life in some capacity. I made my career as a technical writer for more than 30 years and I retired a few years ago.

I look forward to meeting others who enjoy the same genre and discussing books.

message 1062: by Lanna (new)

Lanna Jean Hello!
My name is Lanna, and I love all kinds of mystery books, from cozy to crazy. They are fun to read! But I also like historical fiction as well, but if it's a mystery, even better!

A bit about me really like to bake if I'm not reading for fun, I like blogging, and I am simply living life to the fullest.

I look forward to knowing all of you!

message 1063: by heather. (new)

heather. Hiya!
I’m Heather :)
I love reading cozy mysteries/romance/fantasy! Favourite cozy mystery at the moment is the Thursday murder club series, love those books a lot!
I got into cozy mystery more through TV when I was younger watching things like Midsomer Murders and Father Brown but love to read a good mystery now!
Looking forward to chatting all things cozy mystery with everyone :) x

message 1064: by Kamal (new)

Kamal Barghout Hello,
I am a university professor. I would like to explore the group and I do have a book I would like to promote. What prompted me to write the novel is the intense struggle between the self, religion, fantasy, and metaphysics in general. I would like feedback from the group.

message 1065: by Deanna (new)

Deanna I'm Deanna. I like to pick up some small paperback cozy mysteries. Yeah they can be a bit silly but I found Bailey Cates' Magical Bakery Mysteries to be very fun and cozy reads. I like the low-key mysteries rather than a bunch of nonsense thrown in my face. I've never been into Mysteries as a kid but I'm trying to increase my reading palette now that im older. I do love to watch Crime shows tho lol.

message 1066: by Lexy (new)

Lexy I'm Lexy. I've recently fallen headlong into cozy mysteries, particularly cozy knitting mysteries. Who knew there could be such a fun little niche for fiber-based crafters. I've started with the Knitty Kitties series by Tracey Drew and the Vampire Knitting Club series by Nancy Warren. Also branched out from knitting to The Scottish Ladies' Detective Agency by Lydia Travers and The Glass Library by CJ Archer. I've been primarily listening to audio books of these and, as such, am limited by the selections available in that format. Looking forward to exploring more in both audio and regular book over time.

message 1067: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Cecil Hi my name is Becky, I love mysteries and often read the cozy mysteries. Peggy Webb has a great series with a bassette hound she named Elvis he helps the main character catch the criminals.

message 1068: by WyoLady 93 (new)

WyoLady 93 I have been a member for several years, but may have not introduced myself. An avid reader since I could! I am open to reading just about any genre except maybe hard core science fiction. Mysteries and historical fiction and nonfiction are my favorites. Autobiographies and biographies about fascinating people and historical figures are up there as well. I live in various areas throughout Wyoming and would love to be a published author but am too insecure to submit any of my works!

message 1069: by Lori (new)

Lori Hi, I'm Lori. I'm a reader and writer who always forgets to record what I'm reading. 😀 My favorite book of all time is Collen McCullough's "The Ladies of Missalonghi." There's a small mystery, strong ladies, a touch of romance, and a sprinkle of magic. I find there's a little of that in the books I write, too! Glad to be here.

message 1070: by Calie (new)

Calie Berk I am Calie and live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my talkative Siamese cat, Sardine. I am an avid reader with my favorite subjects being mysteries and historical fiction. I especially love it when the two come together. Lately I’ve been going through some heavy life stuff and found I was gravitating more and more to cosy mysteries as a fun escape. I joined this group to expand my knowledge about cosys — which authors are favorites? What series keep you coming back? I’m looking forward to browsing the archives and to following what is being read.

Good for you. Maybe try NaNoWriMo in November. It is a site where you write 50,000 words in November to "win". Winners get a badge and happy they finish. A lot do not finish but the idea is to write.

Finally discovered Groups on Goodreads, what a treat.

This is my third group (also in a Kate Morton discussion group, and Spoonies - a group for people with chronic illnesses).

I always love reading mystery, cosy and otherwise, Like many of you, I have the collected works of Agatha Christie in front of me as I type this ... but I'm looking forward to discovering some little-hyped gems from lots of new authors.

Great to be here xx

Mark Hi to everyone.

I'm a surveyor, I own a sea kayak, live within a stone's throw of the briny and luckily work in coastal surveying.

I yearn for fiction that asks me think: join-the-dots, figure what is happening, where the plot is taking me.

message 1089: by Kili (new)

Kili Chu Hi lovely humans! I’m Kili and I have been an avid reader for years. Due to university and life getting in the way (rude), I lost my love for reading due to burnout and in the past year, I have been reconciling and healing my relationship with reading one book at a time! I have never been in a book club and have never had a community of book lovers to relate with and honestly, I am so excited to be chatting with you all. I’m currently reading Emily Wilkes Encyclopedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett and Legendborn by Tracy Deon. So excited to discuss with you lol and hope you’re all healthy and vibing!
