Don't most cozy MCs have a dog or cat in their lives? :D Harry will fit right in!

Hi Tricia,
I love that created such a wonderful lending library for your fellow teachers. I'm a legal secretary and keep a lending shelf by my desk ate the firm. It's fun to be able to discuss the books I've read with co-workers.

I love the classics (Austen, Dumas, Tolkien, Dickens, Hawthorne, etc) and re-read my favorites every year. It is just recently that I discovered the "cozy mystery" genre thanks to the "What are you reading?" section in another group and seeing what they were all reading and now I'm hooked on the genre.
I may not comment much for a while as I tend to be quiet while I get a feel for the group, but I look forward to seeing everyone's posts and getting some inspiration for TBR list (especially since I just upped my reading challenge goal from 125 to 200 for this year).

I’m only 16 years old but people often tells me that I’m way too mature for having that age… Maybe it is because I read too many books in my free time… (sorry for my poor English )
Anyways, I love reading fiction, romance, fantasy and mistery
💗💗💗

New to GoodReads, but an avid mystery lover and lifelong reader who’s finding my way back to fiction after some years away. I usually have one or two physical books going at any given time, but I’m also a postman, so I get in an additional 3-4 audiobooks most weeks.
Outside of reading, I am currently working on writing my first novel, although I’m still in the very early stages. After stumbling upon the “Cozy” subgenre, I’ve become a bit enamored and have been trying to read as many as I can, as I think that’s what I’d like to write.
So if anyone has any suggestions for great cozies—I’m all ears.
Also, I don’t have any GR friends yet, so thanks for having me in the group!
Nice to meet everyone.

I'm Linh or you can call me Lin. I've just got onto Goodreads and this group recently. Happy to make friends and read new books with you all. I'm trying my best to maintain my reading habit. I've recently love reading Haruki Murakami's, mysteries, thrillers, crime etc. But I'm also open and interested in trying new genres. I'm happy to hear your book suggestions. Thanks and Nice to meet you all!

I’m a cross-genre reader as well. While half of my October books were mysteries, the other half were romance, classics and book two of a mainstream paranormal saga. I did read one book that fit Victober, Thérèse Raquin by Émile Zola, which I liked. It was actually a fast and easy read. Since you say you read more dead authors than live ones, you might be interested in a classics group here at GR:

Nice to meet you, Mike, and I like your thinking concerning the necessity to use ingenuity.
All the best.
All the best.

LOL, real murderers aren’t very ingenious, and I wouldn’t worry about the fact that Dame Agatha got there first. You have a new generation of readers to please, after all.

But you do have a sense of humor. Welcome!

But they do have fireplace apps — you can even find ones on YouTube with a cat if you really wanted one. 😃😂

I am so much older but I still love reading books. Books of all genres. I usually have coffee or tea while reading. I find I can escape into books very easily. Sometimes I am thinking about what I have read for some time to come.
Reading is in my blood.

There are so many good cozy and brozy mystery books to choose from I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
