There are many threads to check out for sure... Let us know if you have any questions... If you enjoy challenges, we have ones that run both monthly and throughout the year... Lots of places to just chat and catch up or get some recs for reading... We love to grow the TBRs, LOL... Feel free to explore and ask questions... This group is very helpful!

Yes, I am that girl who is reading in the middle of a pep rally, in the middle of dinner, in the middle--so you get my love of books lol :).
I am new to using goodreads, however I had this open for awhile, I decided to mingle and make new friends with the same interests as me, like this group. I am a lover for vampires, wish I was one lol. I love YA, Romance, Drama, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, but mostly anything vampire love story type <3
So yeah, hope I can meet new people and get some great book recommendeation, I am very open-minded to anything!!!
With love, mxn <3

Hey there. I am Ashlee and I love vampires and witches and anything spooky and paranormal. My favorite vampire book is Interview with the Vampire!

it’s nice to meet you all.
i like to read a little bit of everything, but i mostly read dark romance and erotica with bdsm themes.
i also like to write. (tho not very well. lol)
i write short stories and poetry.
i’m also a metalhead 🤘

I'm Leslie (and full disclosure, I am an author). I'm a huge paranormal romance/urban fantasy fan and excited to find some new reads, as I'm all caught up on the series that I read.

Thanks Katter! I don't see problem with adding to it. LOL

I took a break in 2020 from voraciously reading and from posting/participating on Goodreads. My tablet broke and my phone also started crapping out, and I started having some eye "floaters" I have to contend with, especially if I look at an electronic screen or print page. I have a new tablet and phone now and just try to power past the "floaty" issues, and take breaks from reading when necessary. Also, I think I just put too much pressure on myself with the various Goodreads challenges. I had paper lists of what to read and didn't always read what I wanted if it didn't fit the group topics and/or challenges. I got way behind so, after getting my new tablet and phone several months ago, I still decided to wait until the New Year to get going again. I figured it would be easier to start fresh than try to get caught up. I have already read an entire book....yay! And, I am trying to "touch base" with my Goodreads groups and let everyone know I am back (but in a more limited and thus balanced way, I hope).
P.S. Yes, Dee, I am still alive! I had some technical difficulties with Goodreads and e-mail and couldn't respond to your messages even after getting my new devices. I am still having some issues with the Goodreads app since I can't get "desktop" on my devices now and am stuck in just the "mobile mode". I think most of my issues with the app are on me (operator error) and not the app, lol!

I know there's nothing like actually reading a book, holding it in your hands. Have you ever thought about audiobooks? Maybe your eyes get tired sometimes, but you'd love to keep reading? You could listen to a few more chapters while resting your eyes, and now that you have a new tablet it would be even easier to get audiobooks!
Take care of your eyes : )

I really never considered audiobooks before because I comprehend and remember things better if I see them written down. BUT, I think that is an excellent suggestion and would definitely help relieve eye strain yet keep me "in the loop" reading-wise during breaks from actually reading.

Tina!!!! We are so happy to see you! I am with Sarah, audio books is a thing!! I listen to more books than read anymore. But, that's cuz of that dam game! Two books per challenge is all we need!! Even then, nobody looks!! LOL
Welcome everyone else!! Sing out if you have any questions......someone will answer them!!

Welcome to the group and don't be afraid to ask questions if you need help!

I’m Jey and I’ve loved Fantasy & Paranormal books for as long as I can remember but of course my tastes have gotten darker as I’ve gotten older.
While I’ve previously read and enjoyed plenty of Fantasy/Paranormal books featuring straight romances, in the past year I’ve realized just how HUGE the M/M Genre is and have been primarily reading books featuring M/M Romances ever since. While I do prefer my books to have an M/M romance, I prioritize well developed world building and an interesting main plot aside from the romance.
I look forward to taking part in a group that focuses more on the Fantasy / Paranormal side of things!

The M/M genre is huge. Not to plug another group but.....did you join that big group? We have a few members that read mostly M/M.
Sing out if you need any help!

I LOVE that series. I highly recommend giving it a go! I’m so sad that I’ve finished the final book, Brothersong, because if TJ kept writing books featuring these characters forever I don’t think I’d ever get tired of them!

You’re correct, I did find it through others in the M/M group! And while there’s also a smaller LGBTQ/GSM Fantasy & Science Fiction group, that one’s not nearly active as this one and I don’t believe it includes paranormals.
I’ve loved trying out new challenges in this group and while there’s a wide variety of what we all read, I feel that our love for paranormals unites us ;D

So glad to hear that you loved it... I am excited to read it!

My name is Ashley and I'm here because you can't go wrong with having supernatural elements in books and the format for the group is a bonus.

Sing out if you need any help!
