Hi. My pen name is Mercedes Jade, but I go by Mer. I'm a long time reader (my mother's romances) and I started writing fanfiction when BtVS was still on TV. My love for vampire romance was born during those early fanfic days. What I miss most about writing now that I'm doing original fiction is the camaraderie built with fellow fans enjoying our posts and blogs together. I've never joined a group to talk about books before goodreads, but I'm hopeful it will help me establish some of what's been missing while I'm writing in the void.

My favorite genres are contemporary, paranormal, and dystopian. I haven't been as active on Goodreads as I used to be but I'm excited to be back. I thought I had answered this question, but it seems I haven't. lol So my name is Kim and I live in AZ currently. Just my daughter who just became an official adult and our two pups. I love all things paranormal. I used to be heavily into vampire love stories, like the stories of Sherrilyn Kenyon and Kerrilyn Sparks. But then I finally branched out and now I'm into everything, (even non paranormal....eek. haha). I just love Darynda Jones and her grim reaper books. She is one of my newest favorite authors.I run a community library and I have tried to write a young adult novel, but, well yeah I'm still trying to write it. lol Anyway, I'm happy to have found this group because all of you like the same kind of books as me...paranormal. <3

She fan girled right back as she was staying with Karen Marie.

It's always bad to ask for recommendations around here......you're likely to get 1,000 new books on your TBR pile. I suggest checking the, Vhat are you reading thread. Also, maybe the Five star or That surprised me, threads. All kinds of books. I will however go look at you list, as I can't help myself......lol.

The series is binge worthy, although its always better when you have someone else to binge it with you (kind of like buddy reads).
