Hello everyone! I joined the group today and echo the fact that gothic horror, paranormal, mystery, thrillers have always been a favorite of mine - especially related to vampires. I published my debut novel in February and am outlining my next one, both vampire related.I live in Hiram, GA. Hi, folks. I'm Chris. Been writing since the 1990s (tabletop games, a short stint in television, then video games and now "Civil Blood," a vampire legal thriller novel). Been reading vampires since... um... Bunnicula, I suppose. Favorites include Stoker, le Fanu, Vampire: the Masquerade tabletop, Certain Dark Things, V-Wars, and too many movies to comfortably list. I'm relatively new to Goodreads -- been reading books with another group ("Vampires, Weres and Fae") but I see lots of books here that they haven't mentioned, so hooray for variety.

Hello! My name is Kat. I like cheese and, well, vampires. I'm here because I was looking for obscure book recs / reviews (and secretly wanted to bond with fellow vamp maniacs)... But I think I might need some help navigating. Where do you rec vampire centric novels in this group?
After years of repressing my interest in vampires (after the trauma of reading Twilight), I'm back into the thick of it and looking for books with unique perspectives on vampirism. So far, I've only found one convincing book like that: The Vampire Tapestry. I'm definitely interested in reading more books like it. Next I'm planning to read The Historian and Fevre Dream (though I have at least 15 other vampire novels on my TRL) but if you have any recs, I welcome them as well.
I know Vampire the Masquerade as a concept only and have never read Interview (in part because book series are daunting but also because of Rice's attitude towards her fans). Maybe one day I will venture further with either.

(Has a strong female lead and fun plot.)
(Don't be fooled by the chesty cover! This novel is awesome.)
(I love this series. It's like a steampunk Gothic Alice in Wonderland but with vampires!)
(I've only read this one book out of the series but I was impressed with it. I thought it was worth mentioning.)

Hi I'm Katina, I love vamps. I'm a huge fan of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series. I love reading anything paranormal or supernatural. I also love the TV show Shadowhunters, despite it's recent cancellation that show was cool and I love Raphael he's this cute vamp on the show and also Malec.
