Hi everyone, Eli here, glad to meet up with you all. I love reading. I guess my favourite vampire author is Anne Rice. Interview with the Vampire was totally different to anything I had previously seen when I read it all those years ago. I don't think I have read a vampire novel that has felt as original since. I haven't read my favourite book yet. I'm still searching for it. I do love these books though: The Magus, The Death of Grass, a Clockwork Orange, The Sound of Loneliness, The Old Man and the Sea. The first Shannara trilogy (but not the TV series), Oops, I can see I have already written too much here so I'm gonna stop...

Thank you so much for having such a wonderful group here! I've been obsessed with vampires way before I was of an appropriate age to be. I know I'm going to get looked at sideways but I love ALL the vampire worlds created by writers. I am so delighted that you can get anything from a glittery, golden eyed vampire that doesn't drain people to rabid rat toothed vamps hibernating in Alaska and raining blood for a month. I love seeing new spins on old classics. I'm a recreational reader, experienced beta reader, and hopeful author.

Welcome to the group, Miranda! I like the full vampire spectrum as well. My favorite variety of course is the hunky male vamp lead! Criminy from Wicked as They Come, Bones from Halfway to the Grave, Vlad from Once Burned, and Gareth from The Greyfriar are fantastic! Kiss of Steel is also a really cool world to get lost in that's flooded with vamps. I hope you like it here, as we are a friendly group. And best of luck to you on your endeavor to become an author! That's just awesome.

Nice to meet you, I'm Haru Ichiban, a new paranormal romance author who joined Goodreads today. I'm more of an angels and demons lover kind of girl, mostly because I haven't found a vampires story that fully satisfy me yet (I hope I can find something good here!) In other words, I like the topic of vampirism, but not the way it's played in the books I've read.

Hello!I have enjoyed the 'bite' since I was a pre-teen, back then they did not sparkle. I got the 'vapors' from Frank Langella when he whipped off his cape and it's been all the way down since then.
I am a romance writer with a vampire and shape-shifter trilogy set in the 21st century.
I have a bit of a different mythology, they walk among us and mortals exchange their blood for the mortal's ecstacy of the big 'O'.
The next set of books is contemporary fiction, but my heart will always gravitate toward the children of the night.
