Welcome Lexie.
Just start writing and keep going. Read what you want to write about.

Welcome Lauri. I've not read the series, but have always meant to. What do you most like about it?

Hello! I am very excited to have found this group :D
I have always loved vampires, pretty much since I can remember. I have since branched out and love all types of paranormal creatures. Fantasy is my favorite genre with paranormal a very close second.
Looking forward to reading with you all!

Welcome Kelsi. I would recommend reading Let the Right One In or The Historian for a start.

Bones is MY book boyfriend...just saying.
Have a look around, if you need any help, just ask.

Welcome to your first group, Amy. Dracula, Fledgling, Let the Right One In are all awesome.

As a kid I read anything by Enid Blyton, loved the faraway tree and secret seven stories. Progressed to Nancy Drew, then discovered Agatha Christie. My love of crime fiction continued with Michael Connolly, Patricia Cornwell and Kathy Reichs. I loved horror, especially the two Ks King and Koontz as a teen. I always loved rich and evocative horror and fantasy like Anne Rice and Clive Barker, their descriptive powers defy explanation. I developed a taste for paranormal romance in my mid twenties when Amazon took off and I was able to order books not available on the shelves of UK bookstores. In my thirties I developed a guilty pleasure for historical romances. I'm a sucker for a tall, dark, broody, moody possessive male, as long as the heroine is a feisty, kick ass, take no prisoners gal that knows when to yield and when to hold firm. I also love to devour a classic now and then and my favourite novel of all time remains Jane Austen's 'Persuasion'.
I've been a writer of short stories, vignettes and poetry for almost as long as I could read and write. In fact my first stories were ones I made up for my younger sisters about my youngest sister being swallowed by a crocodile and liking it so much she made her home there.
I'm also an abstract and mixed media artist. I try my hand at a number of arts and crafts from porcelain painting, to mono printing, zentangling to decoupage and the odd bit of ropey left handed crochet.
I can teach you to Salsa dance the cuban way, along with several other Latin partner dances, not to mention a little samba and bollywood.
I'm a communicator and technical document editor by trade working in the dreaded financial services, so a good book whether on my kindle or audible is a must have to escape the mundane reality of my working day.
