Hello all, My name is Carolyn. I only discovered paranormal romance a year ago. Up until then I was a dedicated reader of Scifi only. But I fell in love with vampire and shifter romance, especially vampires. I LOVE stories that have very well developed characters and that get deep into their relationships. I am not opposed to erotic content, but it must further the story. I like books that are long and involved and I love a good series. I lived in a non English speaking country for 7 years and that was when I got my first Kindle, so I could have easy access to English books. I read now on that almost exclusively and I read a book every 2 - 4 days. I am very happy to find this group.
Good Lord!! You guys are coming out in droves.Welcome to the group, Carolyn!! I did a lot of sci- fi/fantasy before I did paranormal. I still go back to Valdemar when ever a new book comes out. I only read on my kindle. I had to get one because the first time I went to Australia I had to mail my books home....I could have gotten new books for the cost of that. Now I find that a paperback is too much work. You have to hold it and turn the page...lol. Have a look around and jump in wherever. If you are into challenges we have a bunch that just started.

Thank you Dee. I just got one of the books for the challenge but I am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to register for the challenge. I have a Paperwhite and I love love LOVE how I can read in bed at night without a night light. I often wake up still wearing my glasses!

@Stephanie, delighted we popped your Goodreads group cherry lol. The Matrix is an awesome movie, I wasn't too into the sequels, though. The Matrix introduced me to Rob Zombie as well, love his music.

LOL.....it where you keep track of all your series!! That one took me almost a month to update!! The good news is, once it's all updated, it will tell you how many series you are caught up on and how many you haven't even started yet.
Hi everyone I'm Elizabeth , I'm 39 years old going on 40 ,and l'm a bookworme , I live with my mom and sister and 3 dogs plus one lovebird,plus I love watching the really old movies ( the black and white ones) from the 30s,40s,50s, 60s,( what can I say I grew up watching them with my Dad and I still love them today), one of my all time favorites to watch is of course Dracula ( 1931) with Bela Lugosi as Dracula ,

Welcome Elizabeth!! I grew up watching black and white movies, also. In fact, I remember when my grandmother got a color TV.....it was the coolest thing.....lol. I haven't seen Dracula either. Course I don't watch TV or go to the movies. I did think about getting my daughter to DVR that new show Emerald City but I've heard it's pretty dark, so I'm not sure.

Heeeey I'm Carly! I am a sucker (ha pun intended) for romance and vampire books and combining both of those is even better! One of my favorite vampire series still remains, The Vampire Chronicles and I base all other vampires quite honestly on the way Anne Rice has depicted them because it is just my absolute favorite style. Shamingly...I watched True Blood BEFORE the Sookie Stackhouse novels but I have begun to go back and read them as I miss the show terribly! I hope to do some of the longer "at your pace" challenges and when time allows throw in some monthly's!

When I told people I was reading Sookie Stackhouse, they would say, oh, True Blood....I didn't have a clue. We have plenty of challenges and some shenanigans going on. Join right in!!
