Judgemental Toast The second edition of my book just went live today on Amazon, https://rb.gy/dftlcm .
Because of the angry and uncharitable expressions of opinion from both sides of the argument, I felt I needed to look deeper into the topic of modesty for myself, and so this book was born. (It has 449 footnotes!)
This book covers pretty much any question or nuance about the topic of modesty that you can think of. It has timelines, Papal documents, and encouraging (clear) truth from clergy old and new. How blessed are we to be a part of the Church of Jesus Christ?
I am so happy to send this project out into the world, because learning what I've learned in researching this book has aided me so much on my spiritual journey and I hope that it will help you as well.
I'd appreciate any honest reviews here on goodreads and/or Amazon if anyone reads the book!
God bless y'all :)

Hi Jacinta, I'm just adding this to add the name of your book: Catholic Modesty: What It Is, What It Isn't, and Why It's Still Important.

Apparently the wars over your book continue - either that or the paperback (5 stars) is much better than the Kindle version (1 star).

This is my latest book that I published and have received very positive comments about it. Below find the into to the book, and links to the book. Hope you enjoy it and know that you are always in my prayers. George Calleja (Christian Author)
---

Mankind. Humanity. Ever since the creation of man, ever since man started to discover the earth, ever since he reached every corner of the world, man has ventured out to conquer land, to develop himself and his surroundings. Over the centuries, ever since Adam and Eve, ever since the first fall of man from his Creator, man has faced the pain of suffering which is with us till this present day.
Man has always strived to improve his life, has been attentive to safeguard himself, his family, his land, his country. History has shown us how man has ruled the world. Kingdoms were set up in every continent, ruling for power, to safeguard their land, to safeguard their wealth.
Kings have come and gone. The world has seen different kings across the globe. Kings whose life is known for their good deeds to mankind, other kings who brought destruction to their kingdom.
The world has evolved, has changed. Kings are not as powerful as they used to be. Kings are much less numerous today, having less powers, because the world has developed its political systems, where nowadays Presidents and Prime Ministers have the duty of leading their countries. But still the world talks about kings. Nowadays it is more common to talk about the king of rock ‘n roll, the king of football, the king of boxing, with full admiration of their respective followers. But still, these kings reign for a time in their particular environment and eventually fade away like all other kings, and what remains is their name written and imprinted in history.
As long as planet Earth exists, kings will come and go, and all would have one thing in common: that their reign is limited for a time period, only in this world. But, as long as the planet exists, and indeed beyond that time, there will be only one King who will reign forever. This King will reign all over the entire Earth, will reign without limitations of time and borders, will reign forever and beyond the universe.
This King is the King of the peripheries.
Thank you for making time to read this book.

Cassandra Spellman Greetings, fellow Catholic readers! I just joined this group and am happy to have found you!

My husband and I published a Young Adult Catholic Dystopian novel entitled In the Shadows of Freedom. In the near future USA, the reigning political party seeks to eliminate as many laws as possible in the name of freedom. But what does it really mean to be free? The novel follows an artist’s literal and figurative journey to freedom and to faith.

In the Shadows of Freedom has received the Catholic Writers’ Guild’s Seal of Approval.

Nishaal Nicholas Hey all. I'm Nishaal from India and I'm new to this group.

I would like to suggest to choose 'Screwtape Letters' by C. S Lewis. It's about an uncle Satan training his nephew (a young Satan) on how to tempt humans. This book portraits how humans think and the patterns of how Satan plays with humans. It's a must read for us Catholics as it helps us better understand our thought processes and how Satan works.

I'm not sure whether this book has been selected before. If not, pls consider this book as the next choice.

Thank you. God bless!

Dan Gallagher Below is a rare -- if not unique -- resource that can prompt fallen-away Catholics to gladly grapple with key issues of The Faith, rather than set such a gift aside. How many parents/grandparents grieve to find such a resource and CANNOT find a welcomed gift that would have this effect?

These fallen-away folks would discard apologetics & anything that even looks Catholic. You KNOW that. But here is a "stealthy" award-winning and Amazon bestseller novel that is
* not preachy & doesn't even appear superficially to be Catholic
* gets avidly read all the way through
* yet puts cracks in that concrete around fallen-way Catholics' minds & hearts.

Check out ANCIENT OF GENES and save before the Christmas rush:
* It just won the Gold (First Prize) in Reader’s Favorite’s 2022 Book Award, besting several hundred novels in-genre…
* on the heels of two awards from the Catholic Media Association
(plus other awards & milestones)
* endorsements for the new and prior versions by major thinkers, including two Catholic theologians and Dr. Bernard Nathanson, MD during his Pro-life campaigns (RIP).

ANCIENT OF GENES is an Adult/Teen Speculative Fiction crossing several sub-genres:

Logline: A geneticist’s regeneration of Ice Age animals AND humans is stolen and becomes the basis for genetic warfare weapons – and the prophesied Resurrection of the Dead!

Timely: THE fact-based genetics / metaphysical / cryptid species novel, razor-close to real science that could manifest the ONLY prophecy that echoes eerily… whispers ubiquitously… among religions & myth traditions!

Enjoy teaser video, illustrations, rave pro & reader reviews, awards, Audio Theater & print excerpts, and more at
https://AncientOfGenes.com .
Access the Catholic media press release here:
https://www.authordan.com/home2/galla... .

Get ANCIENT OF GENES at any bookseller, but Amazon has a temporary, favored deal:

Buy the $8 “X-ray” sharable eBook (hover-links to fascinating research & extra info) for 99¢!
Then, for just $7.49, grab the $20 Audio Theater edition (multi-voiced, mood music, thrilling sound FX).
These versions keep your place/sync when you switch formats! No eReader or audio devices/installations needed! The hardcover or Audio Theater editions make great gift experiences that show you care! Get one for yourself, then get copies for those fallen-away loved-ones... and watch those prayed-for lines of constructive communication re-open!

Patricia Bernstein Hello, everyone. My first novel, fourth book, is "A Noble Cunning: The Countess and the Tower," published by a small, legit press History Through Fiction. It is based on the TRUE story of a persecuted Catholic noblewoman who, in 1716, had to find a way to rescue her husband from the Tower of London the night before his scheduled execution. I see her as a major Catholic heroine, but I find that, even in the UK, her story is not well-known. I really want more Catholic women and girls to know her inspiring story! My heroine's husband was condemned to death for participating in the 1715 Jacobite Rebellion against King George I. After her petition for mercy was rejected, she was supposed to simply give in and prepare to mourn his death. But she was determined to save him. See patriciabernstein.com for an excerpt. Official publication date is March 7, but it can be ordered now in time for Christmas from History Through Fiction!

JT Dwyer Good day. On the Feast of the Archangels, 2022, I self-published the first volume of "The Sheepfold" trilogy.

Prior to that self-pub, Change of Possession caught the attention of a major Catholic publisher, but unsurprisingly the response was: "I found [your book] to be extremely good. Well-written, engaging plot, spiritual depth. You captured the world you’re writing about—but maybe did so too well for us. The profanity and vulgarity is surely realistic. But I know we would get a lot of grief from our readers."

Best rejection that I received! Left me happy for days.

Change of Possession tells the story of a comfortable, privileged family as they attempt to live decent, Christian lives in the midst of a toxic culture, a culture that attacks children in ways that parents would prefer not to know, even in the supposedly well-defended bastions of our churches and schools. But also a culture that attacks any believing Christian regardless of age.

Book One of the Sheepfold is available on Amazon now, on Apple Books in a few days, and on Barnes & Noble in the near future. You can also find those links on my author's website, along with a blog and sneak-peaks of my upcoming work.

Hi. This is my book. It is for both adults and children. It is a collection of three poems that are illustrated. The stories are familiar bibles stories, and the goal is to contemplate what it would have felt like, if we had been there. It's now available on all the online book sellers (Amazin, B&N, etc.)

T.S. Epperson Hi, friends;

I would like to introduce you to my upcoming novel series,
"The Other Side of Dead."
Think life, death, heaven, hell, purgatory, angels, demons, priests, criminals, nuns, cops, gangsters, victims, from a pro-Catholic perspective. The series is speculative fiction in the suspense/thriller genre. It has an underlying flavor of momento mori, is strongly pro-life, and humanizes the homeless. Book 1 of the series is available for pre-order.

Donna Silveira My book is live... free for those with kindle unlimited, 9.99 for purchase of the ebook. (the paperback is a bit more, particularly since it's color print, which is quite a bit pricier than i had expected).

https://www.amazon.com/This-Your-Last...

It's an "Authoritative" timeline, not based on MY authority, but rather the authority of the Church, having discerned valid from invalid apparitions.

https://joelbooks.com/popular-eschato...

Would love to know what y'all think.... here's part of the "back-of-the-book summary":

Relying on the authority of the Church to discern valid from invalid apparitions and mystics, this book analyzes the main prophetic texts and apocalyptic visions from Scripture and private revelations of the contemporary time, contextualized in terms of history and culture. This contextual approach deepens the book's examination of prophecies and improves readers' comprehension of the historical prophetic messages and their applicability to the present. Combining accepted Church teaching and prophecies into a single narrative timeline, this "last warning" of what is to come is the compendium of the previous warnings.
