Frances Richardson Hello. My name is Frances Richardson. After receiving my master's degree in theology from the University of Detroit/Mercy, I dreamed of writing and publishing a book that would enable others to see the beauty of the Catholic faith. That completed novel is Not All Of Me Is Dust. Please see it and the 20 five-star reviews readers have given it at Amazon books.

Thank you for the opportunity to post this. It's so good to be in the company of Catholic writers.

In the next vote there will be a good book i am thinking in "The Sword and the serpent" by Taylor R. Marshall, and the books of my friend Alfonseca belonged to this category. You muust purpose these books, and in the mont you must vote it, and then these books will be able to read in Goodreads, but i love the catholic fiction genre. The problem is that the people vote other things. I have voted Toward the gleam and Looking for he king in several ocassions :-(.

David Dean My name is David Dean and I have been a published writer (amongst many other things) for the past thirty years; mostly in crime fiction. My own most cherished work, however, is my novel of Catholic fiction entitled, "The Purple Robe". It's published by Tumblar House Press, a small Catholic publisher, and concerns a young priest investigating a purported holy relic in the jungles of the Yucatan. I hope some of you might consider giving it a read. I've attached a link to Amazon for your convenience. Or you can check it out through my Goodreads author site. Please do give it a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. https://www.amazon.com/Purple-Robe-Da...

Patricia Asedegbega 7 NIGHTS AND EIGHT days...
Hi,
I just published my new catholic fiction novel 7 NIGHTS AND EIGHT days...
I normally write suspense/intrigue (though I have written one or two dramatic novels). The plot of this new one takes place during the popular pilgrimage of The Way of Saint James. Here is the Amazon link to it and a brief synopsis:

Seven people from various countries embark on the popular Pilgrimage of “The Way of Saint James” in Spain, their goal is to walk for several days in order to arrive at the final destination which is the Cathedral of Santiago. A chance encounter brings Sean, Emma, Esohe, Helen, Jason, Lorenza, and Robert together. This leads to cracks surfacing on their carefully crafted facades, painstakingly constructed to shield the truth from the rest of the world. Buried secrets are unearthed, and deep hurts revealed, will they be strong enough to face their deepest fears? An emotionally packed novel, full of intriguing suspense, betrayals, and hope.

John I'm new here, (and not a Catholic) but I decided to share that I've written and self-published a Christian-themed fantasy novel, which is the first of a fantasy series called 'The Remnant King'. It's a deliberately different and rather off-kilter fantasy that starts in an alternate 2006 of our world where, seemingly out of the blue, mythical dragons reveal themselves to the world, and the repercussions it has on the protagonist, who has a link to the dragons that he himself doesn't understand. Biblically, the story draws from the Book of Job, but also the Book of Jonah. Tonally, the voice it's written is inspired by the works of Raymond Chandler.

It's available on Kobo and most Amazon stores.

Fonch A very Interesting book Mr. Pretorius for instance Jim Butcher with Harry Dresden and Sapkowski with his Geralt de la Rivia inspired very much in Philip Marlowe. Thinking in the not Catholic writer you and Mr. Yallowitz are the writers in Which i am more interested. There is a tide very hostiles with the dragons i think in Michael D. O,Brien he consideres that a Fiction with a good dragon It is not good for catholics because the dragon is the symbol of the Evil in the Apocalypse Book. In orient the dragon is really diferent. The Dragons of Michael Ende are more inspired in chinese dragon. For This reason is very popular in Asia especially in Japan. A few months ago i was reading The serie of the Catholic writer Karina Fabian Lumbert with her lovely dragon Vern (It is supposed that he is the dragon defeated by Saint George) she enployed a hilarius register to her dragon. Vern can travel to the Fairy Land to our world. Vern is an specie of paranormal detective Who fights against Evil Magic creature. We like very much in the group the "Sword and serpent" by Taylor R. Marshall a realistic way to tell the story of Saint George. The dragon is the disguise of something most terrible and Evil. I like very much the Dragon of my friend Manuel Alfonseca in "Ennia in Fairie" and the third book of his fantasy saga the Magic Jigsaw the "Odissey of the silver Swan". Perhaps as Tolkien we can say that the Dragons are a very fascinating topic.

I am aware of Mrs Fabian, as we were on the same online writers group a few years ago. I haven't gotten around to reading her books yet. I'll admit, my book is basically trying to eschew dragon stereotypes to a degree, and it may not be to everyone's liking. But I know two Catholics who liked my book as they just saw it as a story, and not as an allegory.

Semi-related, a person I know, a South African who used to be an Anglican but converted to Eastern Orthodox, wrote a novel called 'The Year of the Dragon' which goes deeply into the St George symbolism of dragons and draw parallels to figures in Apartheid-era South Africa. By his own admission he tried to write a Charles Williams-style spiritual thriller.

Fonch I admit that only i Read one book of the Big Vern, indeed we signed a deal to avoid that Vern did not eat to me. Karina is excellent i am with her un Facebook she and Mrs. Jagi L. Lampligther (The John C. Wright,s wife posted the most amusement things of Facebook) I have just recomended to you, Mr. Pretorius, a basic book for me every person interested in Catholic Fiction should Read It. There is a link in Ignatius Press with an interview to the Catholic Writer Sandra E. Misael where she spoke of the importance of the Christian Writers in the science Fiction and Fantasy genre. Although i am a Catholic writer collector. I do not dislike to Read Christian Fantasy writers indeed i have a good list of Christian Writers in my collection. Meanwhile they are avaible with my Catholic belief. For example i Read to Stephen R. Lawhead, Ted Dekker, even adventist of the secenth day as Orson Scott Card or Tracy Hickman. Oh Yes a part of J. R. R. Tolkien i know some Catholic in South Africa as Roy Campbell (the poet). It is an Interesting writer Charles Williams i liked "War in the Heaven".

Theresa Anthony My 13th Station is a memoir that tells the tragic story of my son's descent into depression, followed by alcoholism, and resulting in his suicide at age 25 in 2013. Although this was an excruciating book to write I truly felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to share his tale in hopes of helping many.

What makes our story unique is the ongoing paranormal activity occurring in our home, and neighbors', that was eventually attributed to a neighbor practicing the occult or witchcraft. In all, there were 3 suicides within the span of 16 homes, as well as 2 known suicide attempts.

The topics in my memoir are heavy. Unfortunately, these are timely in our very fallen world (mental illness, addiction, suicide, spiritual warfare, and grief) and will resonate with anyone who has a loved one battling the enemy. This book is an excellent choice for a Catholic book club, as it will invoke deep discussion.

Maria Rosati My book is having a free e-book promotion running from Sept 5, 2019 - Sept 9, 2019.

https://www.amazon.com/Shall-Lead-Wit...

It is a young- adult Catholic fiction novel that would also be a great family read, as it touches on social issues of today. The back reads:

As the oldest of four, Christian enters middle school with questions about politics, faith, nationalism, and family. All seem to be pelting him for answers. With the country split on the issues and on the brink of war, Christian's younger brother Caleb finds an old scroll in the backyard with a riddle telling them to enter the rock. They find within the rock, new companions for the journey including a bright and tenacious girl with a strong will to succeed. These children band together to make sense of it all as they set off on an adventure, where they are thrust into a parallel universe that leads them on a journey of the body, mind, and spirit, where they are brought face to face with evil. How can Catholic children face a broken-down world? The scripturally based riddles dive into the feelings and concerns of five children, each with different strengths and weaknesses. Each finds the answers to interior peace and hope as they gain the wisdom to persevere in a society that is abandoning God's laws.
