Eden Sharp I've just published a crime thriller, The Breaks, which is book one of a series. Book two will be out later this year.

It has mystery, suspense and follows hardboiled tropes. Here's the blurb:

Angela McGlynn is concealing dark secrets: engaging in vigilante activism in an attempt to dismiss self-destructive thoughts. When she employs recently discharged veteran John Knox to aid her in the search for a missing girl, she soon comes to realise that war has left him broken. As they both become embroiled ever deeper into a vortex of danger and half-truths rapidly spinning out of control, his need to rescue the girl and her insistence on exacting justice compel each of them to pursue a course of action with no regard for the potential psychological fallout.

Suzanne HUNT OR BE HUNTED...

When Lily Dietz, an ambitious yet short-tempered Asian-American NYC homicide detective, and longtime partner John Fremont begin to work a unique but gruesome murder case, cryptic clues in the evidence start to link with Lily’s dark and troubling past—one deeply imprinted with many psychological and emotional issues.

Borderline manic-depressive and a self-destructive alcoholic, Lily is strikingly beautiful and spoiled by her younger brother, CJ, a NBA All-Star basketball Knicks player, due to guilt uprooting from their own family history; separations of heart-wrenching losses and disappointments. The hunt for the killer escalates when the detectives discover more than one murder. Someone with cruel and twisted intentions motivated by a taste for sophistication yet also deprivation is targeting and brutally mutilating Asian-American women. And somehow, the murderer knows Lily far too well.

Soon the game of cat-and-mouse becomes a thrilling chase from beginning to end, where Lily’s reality and the people in it begin to doubt her, not only as a detective but as a person. Who will be able to save this damaged soul? Or who will be the one to destroy it?

The new terrifying, suspense thriller by: Olivia Stanton is now available
To be an attractive young lady in a big city. Kind of exciting! Cool job….running a trendy coffee shop. Stressful, income not great. A bit insecure, perhaps a touch overwhelmed by responsibility. To make matters a bit more complicated, a really cool stranger is attracted to her. However exciting, the thoughtful will always be revisited by their vulnerabilities and insecurities. Carla has a past that haunts her, and now, her past will deliver a most shocking horror. Olivia Stanton’s “The Worsening” is a story that will stick with you, and give you nightmares. Ms. Stanton introduces us to Carla’s unsettling (….horrific?) past, by yanking her out of a promising existence, right back into the personal Hell she believes she escaped from. Unfortunately, unless we meet our demons head on, as Ms. Stanton reminds us in this novel, they will seek us out. Read review here>>>>

In this shocking thriller, we find Carla. A girl who seemingly has it all. A beautiful young woman making her own way in the city. All alone, her family lives back in W. Virginia. But Carla has a past, a past she thinks she's far removed from. One night, as she's walking home, an eerily familiar voice from the past calls to her. It's her brother Matty, there to deliver a shocking blow. Her father has died. Carla makes the decision to leave with her brother and their mother for a few days to they lay their dad to rest. As they leave Carla's safe haven of Philadelphia & head to the foreboding West VA mountains, it becomes clear that Carla's mother, Abby is precisely just who Carla was keeping her distance from. Carla soon finds herself practically a prisoner of Abby's & Mattys dysfunction. And Carla is soon faced with all the things she's tried so desperately to forget. Things take an even stranger turn when she begins seeing apparitions that make her question her own sanity.
Will Carla's make it out alive? Or do Abby & Matty have other plans for her.

Paul Gilmour Just as Rasheed started laughing, Bennett’s world plunged into darkness followed by a hint of claustrophobia as a pair of strong hands snapped his head rearwards. Time was not being wasted, the man behind had slipped a black bag over Bennett’s head and as he pulled it tight across Bennett’s mouth and nose, the air started extinguishing from his lungs and his struggle for life ensued.
As his lungs screamed for sustenance and asphyxia took a dangerous hold, the grip of death around his throat grew stronger as each second passed and all the while, he could hear muffled laughing behind and in front.
Every muscle and tendon in his body was at war and fighting to keep their host alive giving the distinct impression of someone having a seizure. Panic had consumed him and the air deprivation was winning the mind battle to survive. Bennett continued to fight but the weight compressing his mouth and nose was too great to break free. The burning in his lungs was all he could feel as the final remnants of the oxygen gave life to his blood. Above the muffled laughter and his own fighting grunts, he could hear himself gasping for breath under the bag whilst the sound of laboured breathing close to his ear signalled his murderer’s presence.
As a final fighting gesture before death, Bennett’s arms and legs released one last retaliatory uprising before the Kevlar bindings defeated him. With his energy depleted and his motivation to survive forfeited, he slumped back into the chair waiting the end.

Kevin Miller Raven One

Hi, I'm Kevin Miller, author of the military action-adventure techno-thriller Raven One.

Raven One places you in the aircraft cockpit, and in the aircraft carrier ready room, of an FA-18 Hornet squadron on deployment to the Persian Gulf. Set during Operation Iraqi Freedom, it is an authentic look at carrier aviation, timely for today, with imperfect men and women who struggle with their fears and uncertainty from flying from the ship to dealing with each other - and enemies over the horizon.

I once lived this life, and while Raven One is a novel, it is historic fiction about scenarios that could happen. My main protagonist is Lieutenant Commander Jim Wilson. He has a superb skipper - Cajun - and a difficult executive officer - Saint - who makes his life and the lives his squadron mates miserable. Lots of high-octane combat flying scenes and interpersonal drama in the ready room and bunk rooms.

The reception for Raven One has been quite positive, and I'm writing a sequel. It may be found on any electronic reader, or trade paperback through Amazon CreateSpace. If you've ever wondered what flying a fighter off an aircraft carrier and being part of a fighter squadron is really like, hope you give Raven One a read.
Thanks,
Kevin

Mike Meyer Come visit the enchanting Caribbean island of St. Croix, where an unknown stalker suddenly pops up. Here's what the Kindle Book Review says of DEADLY EYES: "The mystery and intrigue in this book is palpable. The writing flows seamlessly as the story unfolds and holds you captive. The characters of Cuff and Rosie are multi-layered and defined in such a fashion that I felt a great compassion for them. The supporting characters in the story are drawn with a fine hand and contribute to the intensity as the story progresses. The descriptive journey on the Island of St. Croix paints a striking landscape for the backdrop of the story."

Rebecca We are offering an e-book of Trispero by Sean Adelman in exchange for an honest review no later than three weeks after you receive the book. Trispero is a fast-paced thriller that explores the value inherent in everyone.
Our intellect directs us. Our humanity defines us.

What if the key to unlocking our genetic code and our future lay within some of our most disenfranchised individuals? Would we still shun them?

Seattle in the year 2330: centuries of conflict have led to this precipice. If the world is to move forward, Olivay has the difficult task of teaching Alucia her history. Olivay knows that without understanding where she came from Alucia will never be able to help humanity explore the universe.

In present day Seattle, Jason Roy is a scientist whose life revolves around his daughter, Lily. Within her genome lies a secret that Jason has dedicated himself to uncovering. The mundane life of a scientist and his family takes a turn when a multinational corporation decides Jason Roy's research is a danger to them.

Jason and Lily are now running away from an unforeseen enemy and toward a discovery that will change mankind. Altering the world may come too late for Jason to save what matters most in his own world.

The great irony of unlocking our genetic potential was finding that our greatness was found in our love for one another.

Solange Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to the group and kind of new to Goodreads in general. I am a civil trial lawyer in Orange County California. I work with my husband, who is also a lawyer. At night and during vacations, I spend time writing thrillers. I have written three full novels, but have recently learned that the third one called THE BURNING MAN has been picked up for publication by Morgan James Publishing in New York.

Here is the story line:
It is a hot June night in upscale Orange County, California. When young beautiful Consuelo Vargas turns up mutilated and left for dead in a strawberry field, the Irvine Police Department and OC Sheriff call in top FBI Forensic pathologist, Catherine (“Cat”) Powers to help solve what turns out to be a string of murders.

Charged with hunting down a twisted serial killer dubbed the “The Burning Man” as more bodies turn up, Cat embarks on a dangerous game to try to understand and catch him. Her actions will destroy the people she holds most dear. Her decisions will forever change the lives of those she loves.

Little does she know, The Burning Man waits for her, drawing her closer into his web of death, lies and deceit, so that he can take from her the ultimate prize. He waits for her in plain sight forcing her to make a choice no mother should ever have to make.

Taunt with suspense from the first page, this book traces the painfully real struggles of a driven woman torn between her career demands and single motherhood, a family saga involving Cat’s young son and his loss of innocence at the hands of a madman and explores the bond shared by a mother and child as they combat pure evil. Cat knows only that she will do anything to catch this killer and keep those she loves alive. But will it be enough?

If you would like to read an excerpt, or learn more, go to www.solangeritchie.com. Also, if you would like to write a review, let me know at solangeritchie@hotmail.com and I can the novel to read in exchange for an honest review.

Since witnessing over the phone the tragic accident that took his family from him, his life has been one of continual upheaval. His friend Karl, a highly trained cyber security expert, has re-emerged from the dead to help Collin evade a nefarious cyber terrorist who has targeted the unstable Collin and his large financial settlement, even framing him for recent crimes in order to call in the FBI and Interpol in the hunt for Collin Cook.

Collin battles his fragile mind while evading capture by all means necessary, using planes, trains, automobiles, and sailboats, to hide in any part of the world he can.

John Lefevere In my ebook suspense novel, Better With Age: A Boomer’s Tale, baby boomer Peter Barnes has fallen behind digitally at Catbird Technologies and is fearful that he’ll be RIF’d in a pending merger. Post-merger, younger incoming executives are clearly trying to force him out and even the head of the merged company has given subtle indications that he might not survive the next RIF. And everyone, including Peter, has their eyes on a pending IPO that will make them all wealthy.

Determined to save his job, Barnes learns to creatively use digital technology to start turning the tables on the incoming executives who have targeted him for elimination. After putting his plan into motion, things start turning in Peter’s favor as one executive appears to be involved in a sexting scandal and another is secretly being enticed to leave his position for a startup. Then a deeper scandal surfaces and a shocking death throws CAT into turmoil. In order to keep his job, Peter must maneuver through the turmoil while proving his theory that successful executives get better with age.

While not reviewed, mention of the novel and the issues raised by it was nicely integrated into Laura Derrington’s blog post http://rockthewrinkle.com/learning-ne... on boomers learning new technologies (I provided a free copy for her to use in any way she desired). Better With Age has been purchased by library systems in New York and Virginia, and has been the featured book for three book clubs in Northern Virginia.

Available in most formats at https://www.smashwords.com/books/view... as well as B&N http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/bette... and Apple iBooks https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/x/id... . Also available at Oyster, Scribd, Kobo, Page Foundry, Flipcart and other retailers on the Smashwords Premium Catalog distribution list.

Joshua Hood I'd like to add a few blurbs, if I may, for my first book Clear by Fire out Aug 18.

"Fast paced and with a sharp eye for detail, Clear by Fire reads like it was written by someone who carries a gun for a living. There is no substituting authenticity, and Hood has it in spades."
– Kevin Maurer, coauthor of No Easy Day

"Clear by Fire transports the reader to the front lines of the War on Terror with such vivid detail that it leaves you looking for cover."
– Scott McEwen, coauthor of American Sniper and The Sniper and the Wolf

“Joshua Hood nails it in this debut thriller about blacker than black ops! Step aside Scot Harvath, seasoned, in your face,
and hard wired for the war on terror, spec ops hero Mason Kane is the new standard bearer. Written with a crisp voice,
keen insider knowledge, and heart stopping friction points, with CLEAR BY FIRE Joshua Hood will leave a mark inside the
elite military thriller genre.”

-- Dalton Fury, bestselling author of KILL BIN LADEN
