Duncan Campbell Five stars!

'A well-paced, punky power-chord driven romp of a read!'

'The prose is taut, mature and hard-boiled, reminiscent of William Gibson at his best, with snappy dialogue that fires off the page.'

‘Foehammer has all the elements of a successful supernatural thriller!'

Guys! All I can say is that I am very grateful for your reaction in the first two weeks of Foehammer!

Thanks! Keep it coming!

Lee Goldberg Slow Down
Hi everyone, my debut novel SLOW DOWN is a neo-noir thriller that was just published by New Pulp Press. Available now on Amazon, B&N, and select book stores. Below is a description along with some advance praise. Thanks!

How far would you go to make your dreams come true? For budding writer and filmmaker Noah Spaeth, being a Production Assistant in director Dominick Bambach's new avant-garde film isn't enough. Neither is watching Dominick have an affair with the lead actress, the gorgeous but troubled Nevie Wyeth. For Noah's dream is to get both the film and Nevie in the end, whatever the cost. And this obsession may soon become a reality once Dominick's spurned wife Isadora reveals her femme fatale nature with a seductive plot to get rid of her husband for good.

Slow Down, a cross between the noir styling of James M. Cain and the dark satire of Bret Easton Ellis, is a thrilling page-turner that holds a mirror up to a media-saturated society that is constantly searching for the fastest way to get ahead, regardless of consequences.

Advance Praise for Slow Down:

"A frenetic first novel . . . full of unedifying characters scrambling for the elusive, perhaps imaginary, brass ring."—Publishers Weekly

"Dark and hard-boiled writing that grabs you by the throat. Slow Down is one of those rare novels that’s so good you want it to go on forever!"—Nick Pengelley, author of Ryder: An Ayesha Ryder Novel

"Lee Matthew Goldberg writes like a young Bret Easton Ellis doing a line of uncut Denis Johnson off the back of a public urinal. Memorable in the best possible way, also mostly illegal, Goldberg’s Slow Down is a mad man's tour of Manhattan’s vices, follies, and ultimate betrayals."—Urban Waite, author of Terror of Living and Sometimes the Wolf

"Slow Down starts fast and gets faster quick, gunning through yellow streetlights on its way to a full collision with your shattered soul. Lee Matthew Goldberg takes on the American Zeitgeist in this stunning debut."—Stephen Jay Schwartz, L.A. Times bestselling author of Boulevard and Beat

"Slow DownThe plot takes off. There’s no one to like [in Slow Down], but there’s no denying it's fun to watch rich snots destroy themselves."—Booklist

"Goldberg’s portrayal of the New York demi-monde is one of the book’s strengths and brings to mind Bret Easton Ellis’ Less Than Zero."— CrimeFictionLover.com

Andrew Watts Hello,

My name is Andrew Watts. I was a US Navy helicopter pilot from 2003-2013, and just wrote my first thriller novella, The War Planners. Now on sale on Amazon: The War Planners. I'd love to hear what you think. Here's the synopsis:

A Chinese invasion is coming. A covert American team makes plans for war. But for which side?

The Chinese economy is faltering. Civil unrest threatens the Communist leadership’s grip on power. But where some see a crisis, others see an opportunity…

A CIA operative in Shanghai transmits two earth-shattering revelations to his contacts in Langley, and then goes missing. First, the U.S. government has been infiltrated with Chinese spies. Second, an inner circle of Chinese leaders have set in motion plans to do the unthinkable - to invade the United States of America.

Lena Chou is one of the few U.S. officials who knows the truth. She must put together a top-secret task force to help America’s government prepare for what will come. Now, in order to covertly plan the defense of the United States, Lena has gathered a Red Cell, a group of experts that will plan how China could best attack it.

David Manning is one of those experts. After he is abruptly taken to the covert island base where the Red Cell is being held, Lena presents the group with evidence of China’s imminent attack. But while the Red Cell plans for war, David suspects that something about this gathering of minds is terribly wrong…

Beast of Venery by Isabell Lawless

Not wasting a second, the moving truck with its crew packed up all her belongings, and she finally hit the road away from hell, once and for all.

At least that was her plan.

Years later; in a new town, with a new job, and a wonderful hot contractor as a husband, an email shakes up the happy life she has manage to rebuild for herself. A life far away from denigrating accusations, cruel demands, and sexual domination.

Now her ex Brian has found her, and won't accept anything less than for her to come back home.

She needs to come back to him. Come home.
She belongs to him. And him only.

An anonymous package arrives at their door on a Friday afternoon and the sense of being continuously watched interrupts Danielle and Andy's everyday life.

The happily married couple begin to realize who is behind it all, even though seven whole years have gone since that moving truck sped down the gravel road and far, far away. Leaving all trace of Danielle's existence in Brian's life.

The night of the restaurant opening downtown will forever be etched in their memory.
That was the night they came across Brian inside their dining room. Just waiting for the right time to reappear in Danielle's life.
The night when he unleashed his pent up rage and sexual dominance upon her once again.
That was the night he took her naked on the table nominating Andy to watch their sexual encounter. All of it. Proving every single inch of her body still belonged to him.
There are consequences to aggravating him, and since Danielle is not responding to his demands, he will come back for more.

With Brian's unstable personality still on the lose the questions remain:

Are they going to stay at their newly renovated house in the south now that he has found her and fight him on their grounds when he returns, or try to outrun this predator once more leaving a tight-knit family and everything they have built together behind?

The waiting game has started.

When will he be back?
What does he plan to do this time?
Somehow this nightmare must end, even if it means that someone will get hurt again.
Seriously hurt.
The questions is just, who is it going to be this time?

Beast of Venery is a semi-autobiographical romantic thriller that follows Danielle fleeing an abusive and domineering ex-boyfriend. With the help and support from her new husband and surrounding family she fights his attempts to contact her and touch her in any way possible to get her back into her life.

Andrew Barrett I have two books to promote. Both are free for five days from 6th February.
The Third Rule - The Complete Story is 1000 page epic starring CSI Eddie Collins. This is a thriller that deals with the introduction of capital punishment largely from Eddie's point of view as tragedy besets him. It's been described as a gripping and moving masterpiece. Please take a look at the blurb:
“If you want to kill serious crime, you have to kill serious criminals.”

Propelled by a wave of atrocities, a new government surges to power and introduces a severe code of punishment. They designed The Rules to rid England of serious crime, but they failed. They said The Rules were infallible, but they lied. The Rules ensnared innocent people too, slaughtered truth and justice.

One of those innocent people is Christian Ledger, a talented artist charged with a fatal stabbing. Christian is heading for the ‘slaughterhouse’ because no one will listen; certainly not the police who just scored another hit. Is the secret he carries enough to save his life?

CSI Eddie Collins, a reluctant hero with one failed suicide attempt behind him, suddenly wants to live when the police hunt him for shooting a colleague. And now he’s on the government’s list too, and he’s running. But they’re gaining.

The Third Rule - The Complete Story by Andrew Barrett

The other book is a short story, again featuring Eddie, but this time in first person. Unlike The Third Rule, The Lift is a new story, a stand alone story that's due out on Friday 6th February, and will hopefully tide readers over until his latest novel, Sword of Damocles, is published later this year.

Keep your eyes open for The Lift

Reinaldo DelValle Hello readers!

My name is Reinaldo DelValle and I just launched a new mystery series. The title of the book is The Valentine Circle (A Silas de San Michel Mystery). Some reviewers have compared it to Agatha Christie, Sherlock Holmes, and even The DaVinci Code. I personally like to describe it as The Bourne Identity meets Sherlock Holmes meets The Last Samurai.

Here’s the description:

Boston, winter of 1885.

A string of kidnappings plagues the snow-laden city of Boston while a murderer runs amok, hunting and killing the unborn babies of the city's social elite.

A powerful group called the Valentine Society controls the city's police department, and the people of Boston's last hope for justice lies in the hands of a man who mysteriously washes ashore from a distant foreign land, battered and bruised.

To complicate matters, he doesn't remember who he is or where he's from...

Just a week after he is found unconscious aboard a cargo ship, Officer Silas de San Michel is thrust into a mysterious case dealing with the vicious killings of pregnant teenage girls. But what he doesn't know is that these young girls belong to the secret Valentine Society, an elite group of Boston socialites that have corrupted the city's top officials, unashamedly operating above the law.

With the help of his boss, the highly intelligent Inspector Belloc, and his lovely assistant, the boisterous and spirited Miss Posy Chapman, Silas embarks on a journey that takes him inside a secret world of rules and privileges, of oppressive parents and mischievous alliances.

Weighed down by the sickness of memory loss, Silas struggles to maintain his sanity as he begins to discover the darkness plaguing his own sordid past, a darkness that ultimately brings him to the brink of becoming that which he hunts, a serial killer who was raised and trained by an insidious organization known only as The Factory.

Zoe Von Lynskey is a typical 13-year-old girl with an idyllic life and a bright future ahead of her – that is, until her 16-year-old brother is accidentally shot by his friend Kirk Anderson.

But then new questions arise: Was Josh’s death truly an accident? Zoe suspects not. Kirk’s parents and Zoe’s parents are friends, and the two dads work for the same company, but Kirk has always been a bully to Zoe. Alison Hi,

My latest book in the Roma Nova thriller series SUCCESSIO is a thriller with a difference...
Editor's Choice in The Bookseller "This classy thriller"

Roma Nova – the last remnant of the Roman Empire that has survived into the 21st century – is at peace. Carina Mitela, the heir of a leading family, but choosing the life of an officer in the Praetorian Guard Special Forces, is not so sure.

She senses danger crawling towards her when she encounters a strangely self-possessed member of the unit hosting their exchange exercise in Britain. When a blackmailing letter arrives from a woman claiming to be her husband Conrad’s lost daughter and Conrad tries to shut Carina out, she knows the threat is real.

Trying to resolve a young man’s indiscretion twenty-five years before turns into a nightmare that not only threatens to destroy all the Mitelae but also attacks the core of the imperial family itself. With her enemy holding a gun to the head of the heir to the imperial throne, Carina has to make the hardest decision of her life…

Kevin Chilvers I've just finished watching Golden Eye - a very interesting film on the author Ian Fleming (James Bond). Amazing where some of his ideas came from.

My novel, a Crime Action Thriller titled Inca Poison is now at 93371 in the kindle Store (UK) and has a total of 18 reviews and 4/5 star (9 UK and 9 US) but is still difficult to find in the mysterious world of Amazon. Help it get better and leave reviews.
